Note the large payouts to unions, and also CCSSO. The CCSSO was under some scrutiny because of what the money was actually paying for. Extravagant vacations for the members, which looks a lot like bribery.... There is so much money going to so many schools and groups, it's staggering. And people think there isn't an agenda behind all this....

    Yep. It's approved by the STATE BoE. Not town. That said, I believe we can make enough noise to sink this rotten ship. Every week there is a large op ed piece in our local paper citing reasons why cc should not be part of local education, or state mandates. It's also becoming a bit contentious.

    I should add that what I have seen, CC take decisions out of local hands so it may not be true that it depends how bold & virtuous they are :(

    From my understanding, it will not matter who is on the school board. They will be powerless to change the standards.
