This is actually possible IF the States get together to repeal the Amendment prohibiting more than two presidential terms.

Would we then see the still living presidents Oblunder, ClinTongue and Bushwhack on the ballot with Trump?

Term limits for presidents are fine as they are. Term limits for con-gress need to be put in place asap. This country won't survive midterm Democrat takeovers much longer, if at all.

I am sure the Democrats would have EVERY Judge in the world Filing Suits to prevent this from happening.

Trump Sneezed the other day, and they got a nationwide injunction against someone saying Bless You!

Me dino be wondering if FDR hoped to be president for life---but at the end of his Fourth term he just felt too pooped with it all to continue.
That was decades before Jackass Party commies are winning some elections these days.

If, somehow, this atrocity were to be pushed through, it would clearly reveal the entire electoral process to be pure theater. Biden was installed to illustrate that the Presidential Post is just a Post and you can put a cabbage on that post. Donald James Tiberius Trump ... Good Lord, I had some hopes back in 2015...20, then the Global Plague rolled in along with all the nonsense -- on The Donald's Watch. Take a look at the Letter and Check that you received from Donald, then the check and letter from Biden...can you see any difference? All the bluster, pomp, and full-scale economic illiteracy of # 47 is enough to boil that cabbage. Remember DOGE? Pure political theater ... a lot of smoke and no realizable results. I fully concur with what Thoritsu reported, below.

Are you sure!!. The 12th Amendment only states that one who is “constitutionally ineligible to the office of President” cannot be Vice President. The 22nd Amendment’s language is limited to those who can be “elected to the office of the President.” There are a lot of law articles about that from a multitude of directions.

The problem isn't with the Constitution. The problem is with a miseducated and misinformed voting public. The call for term limits is a "dogwhistle" to the equally miseducated and misinformed devotees of the COS movement. As bad an idea as it gets. The DSA cannot wait to get its fingers into that one and make it a "hotbutton" issue.. Au contraire, The Constitution merely needs to be followed and enforced.

Notice that two of the premiere political issues of this modern era are that of Education and that of Healthcare. neither of these matters are within the enumerated purview of the federal government Untangling these issues away from the federal government would go a long ways towards a solution.

As always it is the premises that need to be examined.

    Better IDEA:

Give Trump a Podcast: Trump Saves America!
Where he comments on what's happening, keeps his base energized, and EXPLAINS the horse trading required to pull things off.

Although, as I write that, I realize Trump doesn't have the self control required to let JD Vance Cook...

Maybe just let him run the RNC, and work on getting FL style voting in all 50 states??? (Who in 2001 thought you would EVER hear that as a SERIOUS suggestion?)

He's not eligible b/c he cannot fulfill the duties (taking over if the President becomes Disabled, etc).

I agree. While the intended consequences (Trump again) aren't terrible (debatable, at his age - anything can happen), it's the UNintended consequences that will jump up and bite us in the virtual (and perhaps literal) ass.

Considering how long it takes for an amendment to pass through all the hoops, I doubt there's time to make this happen even if it were a good idea--which it most surely isn't.

As much as I like the idea, I don’t like it twice as much. I love taking our republic back and that Trump is determined to facilitate it. Think about the sheeple electing Barry for a third, or fourth term. We’d be sunk already.

The two- term limit is there to protect us. Every rule you put in effect, or change, can be used by others who may not share your views on their turn.

If President Trump could serve as a Vice President, then sure, do that in 2028. Doing the third presidential term may be well Intentioned, but dangerous when turned about.

If anything, we need MORE term limits in Washington as a whole, not less. Now if we can vote towards Supreme Court Justices serving 10 year appointments with no more than two re-appointments, congress (both houses) serves no more than eight years total... I am all for those.

I'd guess by your comment, that you wouldn't consider Trump for another term or two as Vice President.

This idea needs to stop, RIGHT NOW!

FDR was a mess. We don't need Trump for another 4, we need Vance. Trump needs to step aside, and phucking grow up.

There is NFW the Constitution is being Amended for this. The idea is nuclear gasoline to the totalitarian left's engine. You want to enable them to sweep both houses and POTUS? Keep talking about this stupidity.

    no, No, NO!

As much as it would be nice if Trump could run again, I say keep the current limit. That makes it possible for people like Vance to step up while still viable. It's a two-edged sword, I guess. There should limits on con-gress, though.

Alternatively amend the term restriction amendment to allow a 3rd run for president if 2/3 of the states concur. There would still need to be an election.
If you want to see what else the Amendment process can do check out - https://www.TheSocietyProject.org
