My one and only favorite Baseball game was when the Red Socks Won the World Series. It only mattered to me because my Dad, (Boston born and bread) was a loyal fan. Unfortunately, it happened after he passed.

Betcha he was helping from Heaven . . . Laughing.

Wish that I did. My father in law said that he kept it on his refrigerator for a long time, but over the years It has disappeared. I need to be honest … I did cut the arch out of one of the Detroit papers along with a tiger, but I colored them in and added the feather.

Got me laughing with that image!
What a great idea that was! I hope you still have the card!
That's a piece of history that the organization should know about.

68 was an amazing year for the Tigs. My husband was from the St. Louis area and a Cardinal fan. That made things interesting but fun. I made a card that featured the arch with a tiger perched on top of it with a red feather in its mouth. I sent it to my father in law. I am happy to say that he laughed.

More like the last 2 minutes on the clock in basketball. ;^)
Rugby requires a lot of ability and an amazing amount of stamina. Players have to be in superb condition.

    Same here, Suzanne.
I grew up watching every baseball game with my father who was from Detroit.
The '68 season was so amazing and memorable.
I was hoping they'd make it to the series this year.
I spent a lot of time in LA in the 80's, so I followed the Dodgers this year, too.
So many stupid pitching choices by their supposed brilliant manager
probably cost them 10 games in the regular season, and he didn't have
their best hitter at the end of the season, Rojas, playing in the series until the
6th game. Rojas then made several crucial fielding plays and hit a home run
in the 9th that sent the 7th game into extra innings.

I didn't invent Obamanation when King Barry was in office, but since then I've enjoyed using it off and on, off and on.

Totally boring. While watching the Final Four with my family, I fall asleep. They shake their heads in disgust.

I love baseball. As a long time Detroit Tiger fan, I am dedicated to cheering them on. At the end of the season, I say my usual line, “Well, there’s always next year.” Then there’s basketball… not a fan… And I live in Indiana.

And basketball only matters in the last quarter. Football time changes at the end, which is COMPLETELY stupid. All one dimensional athletes who are super tall, can run super fast, throw, catch, or are giant and can push others.

    Rugby 7’s is a real man’s game!!!

That's what I think of basketball. Utterly boring.
Watching a bunch of sweating guys (who can't do simple math) run left, run right over and over?
I'd almost rather go to the dentist. (almost;^)
Changing oil would be productive at least.
Then there is pro football. Game takes more than 3 hours elapsed time.
Without the ads and waiting-waiting-waiting a game of actual play takes 40-45 minutes.

Sure was an exciting series though.
Dave Roberts did everything he could to lose (starting in August)
until the last 2 games when there was no tomorrow.

Maybe the World Series tilted against Canada for their BS. They didn't want to change anything until after. Well, it is "after".

My mom never let my sister and me have kool-aid when we were kids. Now I know why.

Whoa oh yeah, OUC! Great theme this week. King Chuck, Madmani mouse trap, and serving the commie Kool-aide to AOC are all priceless! Ah yes, the free plane ride, LOL!

The exodus from NY is about to accelerate from what it was as Madmani takes charge. Not many years ago I had to haul items from Florida to NY and getting a U-Haul trailer in that direction was cheap (heck, almost free in comparison) as there was a shortage of trailers in NY. I expect it to be cheaper in the future.

Mamdani will be the most successful real estate agent for Florida. Average New Yorker shrugs, says "it is what it is", "I survived socialist De Blasio, nothing changed for me", .... meanwhile, Pakistani taxi drivers in New York are ecstatic. New Yorkers won't wake up, until it is too late.
