Mamdani's Socialist (Democrat) Plans Will Only Make NYC Worse

Excerpt:
"Libertarian economists have long explained that democratic socialism does not involve outright government seizure of the means of production. Rather, it manifests through layers of government interference in the private sector—via regulations, taxes, mandates, and bureaucratic controls. Each intervention distorts market processes, producing inefficiencies and crises that, in turn, invite yet more intervention. The cycle repeats, expanding state power and eroding prosperity.

A contemporary example can be seen in the Democrats’ push to extend Obamacare subsidies, which are set to expire at year’s end. These subsidies were meant to stabilize insurance markets, yet their expiration will drive premiums upward. The government created this instability by intervening in healthcare and now seeks to intervene again—at an estimated cost of $415 billion over ten years—to “fix” the problem it caused.

This incremental approach is socialism by installments: policy by policy, the private market is replaced with a government-run one. Mamdani’s proposals fit within this framework."

Be careful...the rental market is crashing, mainly because of the illegals receiving gov't money...as that is drying up, they just stop paying and trash the property.

The example in England is easy to see...the English are sheep and easily manipulated, but with the Muslims walking en masse down the street and their 5X daily prayers, they are dominating the landscape...

The next phase...-At the stroke of midnight, the great lighted calendar which is projected on a large screen in New York does not change to the date but rather to the message, “Brother you asked for it! Francisco Domingo Carlos Andres Sebastian d’Anconia”

Mamdani could not recognize New York State of Mind by Billy Joel. It is not on Mamdani's playlist.

Humor must have an element of truth, or else it isn't humorous. Abbott doesn't have that power. He should have used that line for all the people crossing his southern border, but at that time, tariffs weren't on people's radar. Maybe he can put sharks with friggin laser beams on their heads to keep people out?!

A geographical change would not change the ethical vacuum of the Street.
Like D.C., ethical people don't last there.

"Wall Street" moving to Florida would be quite the signal in this scenario, but would the wall streeters still vote commie?

There it is. Explains much about the centuries of warfare in the middle east.
Their main enemy seems to have similar "rules" in reality.

I like Thor's thinking here, too, but I also fear, as you do FFA, NYC defaults will have Wall Street whining so loud the gov, at our expense, will stop the bleeding until the socialist/commies run out of our money again... rinse and repeat until we all fall down. A Democrat (commie) in the WH with enough cronies in con-gress and on the bench will mean the fall will be enormous.

I'm wondering at what point will the gulag/re-education slave labor camps open up.

Hope you are wrong. Wall Street is a place, not a company. The whole thing could move to Florida in a month, it is just computers.

Several days ago me dino turned on the TV and was surprised to see New York's future mayor standing before a mic with a row of sullen looking Muslims sitting behind him each wearing a turban on his head.
That's when I realized that all Schiff Mamcommie is (already bad enough) going to be much worse than I originally thought.
Today I turned on my TV and there was Also A MamMuslim promising that he only had a problem with Israel and not with New York Jews.
I did not believe a word of it.

I spent last Sunday in NYC for their annual Marathon event. I was a volunteer, assigned to Mile 15, which was in Long Island City. While I was there, my job was to 1) watch the crowd for troublemakers 2) watch the course for runners with injuries. If I saw problems, I would radio them in to a command post and someone would take action (NYPD, medics, etc.). While I was there, I saw two Mamdani volunteers handing out leaflets and talking with passers-by. Most of those walking by didn't give the volunteers a moment to speak, but some actually engaged in dialog. The volunteers were talking about all these promises that any common-sense adult would realize is untenable. Unfortunately, the people listening were not common-sense adults.

Mamdani's election night speech was an eye opener, because he wasn't the all-gloss and smiles guy seen during the campaign. I believe the people are in for a seriously rude awakening.

I will most likely not set foot back in that city until they right the ship.

Instead of supporting individual liberty at home, they are supporting one of 2 warring tribes in the middle east. Makes no sense at all.

While I agree with you, the problem is that Wall St will get bailed out (at your and
my expense) by corrupt scum in D.C. and Main St will get all the suffering.
I hope the producing few will be prepared.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.” Tytler

I think we are now living the fruition of the plan set forth by Stalin back in the '20s and '30s. The Soviet Union is dead, but not the Soviet plan.

Of course there's a more Christian religious view in that God's greatest gift to mankind was Jesus Christ and Satan's response was Mohammad and Marx. Mamdani's got both covered.

Yes indeed are we not so proud of the teachers in this country!!! Some will say not all but those who are the not all are influenced by their leaders and must follow to keep their job. ONE only one man I met refused to bend and quit and doing very well out of the school system.

They said that Queens could stay,
    they blew the Bronx away,
and sank Manhattan out at sea.

-- "Miami 2017" by Billy Joel

For a 1970s song, he was only off by a few short years.
