If Solar and Wind Are Now Cheaper than Fossil Fuels, Why Don’t We Have More? The LCOE Scam.

Excerpt:
"The answer is they aren’t cheaper.
The suspicious claim that “Solar and wind are now cheaper than fossil fuels” is usually justified using an intimidating-sounding metric called LCOE: “Levelized Cost of Energy.”

In a 2020 report, the International Energy Agency used LCOE to claim that “renewable” energy costs are now “competitive” with fossil fuel costs, and that onshore wind is the cheapest source of electricity in most countries.

In a 2023 article titled “The Clean Energy Future Is Arriving Faster Than You Think,” the New York Times used LCOE to claim that solar and wind are somehow cheap while coal, gas, and nuclear are somehow expensive.

LCOE absurdly equates the value of reliable electricity and unreliable electricity."

For the ELITES trying to kill us off, starve us to death, and enslave those that can survive...

    NOTHING.

For us peasants. Starvation, Owning Nothing, A Slaves Existence... But most definitely NOT BEING HAPPY!

    Scary STUPID stuff.

Near me state subsidized solar farms are now covering acres of perfectly good farmland. What could possibly go wrong?

States and cities near me have started outlawing non-"renewable" energy. Starting next year, gas-fueled appliances like lawnmowers or generators will be illegal to possess. People with gas or oil powered heating will have to have it removed, and electric will be limited to heat pumps. Fireplaces and wood stoves will be banned too. Already there is a moratorium on building new gas stations; vehicles in California will soon be limited to EVs.

The point of which is (1) to make it super-expensive to have your own vehicle (legislators and the rich will get to have them, you won't) and (2) to limit home heating and appliances to run on electricity only, thus enabling the statists to surveil and micromanage all your energy use and turn off your things whenever they want.

Enough is enough. This has to stop.

LOL. It used to be a Late Night (Letterman) thing.

Headlines from the future. My favorites were:
    - $100K starting salary for Nintendo Players
    and
    - Oat Bran... The Silent Killer

The latter one really nails it. Because what we think is "great" (like LOW-FAT) can turn out to HARM people in the future.

It reminds me to think ahead. Also, there is some truth to the land becoming brittle. A (gone) friend got his PhD and worked with the Japanese on Earthquake prediction, using this as the basis of their research, and it was panning out very well...
    Crazy!

Yeah, I don't know what to believe any more.
Because I know there are so many lies.

Elon Musk made the comment... Take 3 Mile Island, and convert it to solar, it would produce more power.

I am stunned he said that. It cannot possibly be true.

Not to mention... Praying for no Hail Storms.
    And "For how long"...

That said, they are finally advancing the technology pretty well. But I still can't believe.

Besides, I imagine this HEADLINE in 2185

The Earth is Dying b/c Too many Solar Farms...

... Effectively we didn't know the Earth itself needed the heat from the direct sunlight to avoid becoming brittle and THIS Explains the high frequency of earthquakes everywhere...

    LOL

Not to mention, solar and windmills are horrific for the environment, never mind Whales and Birds.

Good article, right on all counts.
    - levelized cost, good explanation- the unreliable babysitter, if you choose the unreliable service, you need to pay the reliable service as well if you want actual babysitting.
    - Canada, has vast hydro-power and minerals so can sell much cheap electricity and aluminum, so just agree on a commercial price and buy, high tariffs are a rod for your own back.
-cheap electric power and China. Cheap and large scale electricity is essential for AI, IT, and industry in general. China pulls out all stops, truly enormous projects. Trump appears to agree but lacks power to bring it on, well that may not be his job, but whose job is it? Apart from Russia, other nations are on a feel-good suicide mission claiming electric power will come from sun beams sea-breezes.
