Could Trump Be In The White House Again In 2028?

I'm not nearly as "constitutionally aware" as I could (or maybe should) be; I'm assuming that there are Gulchers who will know the answer to this question.

I know that Trump cannot run for president again; but is there anything that would prevent him from running as the Vice-Presidential nominee? I get tingly all over at the thought of Trump being on the ticket and in the White House again, even if he's the Veep instead of Prez. He says in this article that he won't be the VP on the Republican ticket in 2028, but it wouldn't surprise me if he changed his mind.

IMHO, over the next three years Trump will continue to hammer out what needs to be done for the Republic the best he can and then go play golf. The Republican party has a darn good lineup going into 2028 and I think Trump has had a hand in making sure of that. Time for him to retire from politics and do something else.

Legally he can't run for VP either.
That doesn't mean that one of kids can't do so, however.

That prompted another thought: Can he be appointed VP? Assume Vance gets elected and Rubio is his running mate. If something happened to Rubio, could Vance appoint Trump to be his VP? I'm really trying hard to find a scenario where Trump is still in the White House for another 4 years, still being the cause for TDS.

Why doesn't Trump just pull an "Obummer" and buy a nice place in DC near the WH and be a frequently invited guest just to piss off the left if he is succeeded by a Republican. He doesn't have to do anything - just show up for brunch and pretend he's doing something (well, maybe he can give tours of the new ball room - LMAO). The Marxist media will go apoplectic, LOL. If the next prez is a Dem (cough cough), he can have brunch with any number of Republican senators and others and do nothing except piss off the Dems and drive the left press crazy.
