Unfortunately the narrator will go to his death not knowing the video supports AR since nobody talks about the narrator today so they certainly won't after his death but AR will be talked about for years and years to come.

Agreed. That's why I make sure to teach my kids the truth about history and how to use their brains.

I'll brag just a little. My 12-yr old son just took the MAP test for math and scored a 302. For those not familiar with the test, it is adaptive, meaning that when the student demonstrates mastery of basic concepts, it bumps the difficulty level of the problems until it can finally stump the student. The score he got indicated college level understanding of mathematics - including basic derivatives and integrals. Here's one the liberals aren't going to get!

Sadly, those are a small minority in these days. And the public school system isn't helping change any of that.

Those "extremist conservatives" who seem to be bashing AR are more interested in the power of their influence than limited government and individual freedom. Why else would they be jumping on the bash AR train? Maybe they espouse the extremist conservative principles only to gain the notoriety of those positions, not so much to actually allow others to achieve them.

When I first encountered Rand, in the person of one of her fans, I continually bothered him, "Well, what does she say about xxx, about yyy, about zzz?"

He wisely and patiently suggested I read her books.

Eventually his patience wore out. "Atlas Shrugged is too fat? Don't read it, then. But I'm not going to answer any more questions."

The only thing "evil" the liberals find about Ayn Rand is that she explicitly refused to recognize their authority to boss the rest of us around.

She didn't believe in God. But neither did she believe the liberals had any right to play God.

    YES!

We are really getting under their skin!

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win." - Ghandi

We are past stage two and entering stage three.

    Next up: "then you win."

We can expect more and more of this type of nonsense during at least this year and the next two, due as much to the current backlash against Obama's socialist progressive agenda and the increasing popularity of the Liberty movement in the country as to any other reason. Even some extremist conservatives seem to be jumping on the 'bash AR train' as well, as they see their influence waning. AR has become the poster girl of limited government and individual freedom and I think rightly so.

The Left is largely composed of people who have never gotten past the mental age of two - temper tantrums and all.

The video is patently moronic. It asks how could people promoting a rightwing political agenda support Rand when she didn't agree with the agenda. Because she's about following *your own agenda*, not other people's! The people who put this together havn't read the books.

If people want to let a second rate video do their thinking for them, nobody can stop them. I will, when asked, give people the basics of Rand's philosophy, but I always say they should read her works. We have to go after the people who aren't afraid to think for themselves.

Amazing how quickly they start calling names instead of trying to make a reasoned argument. The level of hate for books about the love of life is amazing.

I’ve been watching this new show of HBO’s since the beginning but just watching it before this episode aired. :) Thanks for that! Um, The opening show was very funny and through everyone from every political leaning under the bus. It stop being funny after that. The show quickly showed it’s true aspirations-- it is meant to affect change through propaganda. I don’t watch it anymore. I wish Hollywood would realize that people have burnt out on ‘messages’. Television and film is suppose to be about escape, unless you are trying to produce a movie or film with a philosophy message, like Atlas Shrugged.
I notice for the first time the other day that ‘The Fountainhead’ is attacked in the movie ‘Dirty Dancing’. Totally caught me off guard. I hadn’t realize how many times we have been told about the ‘evils’ of Ayn Rand in one form or another until I started paying attention.

    They are nuts.
