Well, Bachelor's regress aren't quite what they used to be. I think they've become more like the 'participant trophies' given out to children in T-Ball.

I think the pre-existing undergrad system is already well into failure out here. I see grade inflation, massive cost inflation, programs so impacted that it seems nobody gets in, required classes cut from the schedule. The average GPA of the high school students accepted into my old program is either 4.2 or 4.3 (I forget...just read it the other day). Come on... In twenty years we probably won't recognize this system.

So the challenge with Kashkari vs. Jerry Brown is this -

1.) Jerry really wields the Veto pen rather well, almost looks like a conservative, he's no Ronald Reagan, but he veto'd something like 100 out of 103 gun control bills so far. All the outlandish stuff, he killed. (He's a democrat).

2.) Fiscally, he's not ideal, but he hasn't been horrible. Just wish he'd give up on stupid stuff like digging tunnels for 60 miles to redirect river water from the Sacramento river underneath the SF Bay Delta ... or building bullet trains between Fresno & Bakersfield...

3.) Kashkari is behind by like 20 points. In California, that's something like 3 or 4 million votes.

4.) I basically agree with his Veto on the professor's union "anti online education bill" and is allowance to develop the community college system into more of a 4 year technical degree (something like military technical training would be fantastic), I think both are fantastic changes that are really needed.

Seems like the "Devil you know" vs. throwing good money after bad on a hope & a prayer with Kashkari... I'm definitely voting for Neel, I think he would be a great governor, but at least the status quo isn't running the state over a cliff at the moment.
