Well, golly gee whiz, that place was scary.
Have to say I love my lifelong retirement. I know I earned it. Also stopped two escape attempts that occurred many years apart.
I'm an atheist, but I enjoy studying religion. It's a precursor to philosophy., with people trying to make sense of the world around them, looking for the Permanent amidst the Change, the Abiding in the Flux, the One in the Many.
Atheists are hated by some. I think my neighbor believes that atheists worship the Devil, an accusation I'm not even going to entertain discussing.
Others scornfully call us all "Capitalists," but are totally uninterested in hearing about Rand's book, Capitalism the Unknown Ideal.
I could go on, but I'm preaching to the choir.

Atheists and Christians can be both good and bad. I know I'm not perfect. I have a deity to apologize to.
An atheist can only apologize to those unfairly offended and come up with rational reasons to strive to be a better person.
