I generally don't spray it. We have bittersweet that is a giant vine that strangles trees. I cut it at the base, drill a 0.5-2" hole with a spade bit, and pour in some concentrate, It kills the whole vine and all connected vines. Fantastic!

I use it, too, Thor, but sparingly and not in the areas I grow food. It does work.

Roundup is used so extensively in this country it is literally sickening everybody in the country.
Roundup its used to desiccate almost every crop before the harvest: oats, wheat, corn, soybeans, the list is endless.

The reasoning goes like this:
Giant factory farms hire out the harvesting equipment and labor. The tractors and other harvesting tools cost millions of dollars.
The maintenance is prohibitive for individuals to own their own equipment, the level of technology is so advanced, only the manufacturer (i.e. John Deere) can fix it.

The scheduling is inflexible, if only part of the field is ripe, it can't be harvested.
Roundup makes it all dry at the same time.

Roundup is in practically everything you eat.

Roundup is banned in Canada, Europe, and many parts of South America and Africa.

Where it is banned, they will not buy American grown foods.

And the fact your food comes pre-soaked in glyphosate, is NOT stated on the label.
You are NOT being warned, you're being poisoned!

Wake up people.

Whatever it is the crazy lawn dudes who spray the field with 25 MPH winds they do not even have a covering of their skin let alone face and eyes.

Compared to dioxins & defoliants, glyphosate is the Blue Sno-Cone(tm) of farm chemicals.

I'm sorry that some people contracted cancer from using it. The unanswered question was did all the users of the chemical abide by all the warnings on the chemical? I'm quite certain the answer is no. I'm quite certain they didn't read a single word of it!

So, just as ignorance of the law is no defense, ignorance of the side effects is not the company's responsibility, and must not be allowed to become the lawyer's windfall!!!

Ok. You drink a big glass of glyphosate every morning and I'll drink a glass of my RO water each morning and lets check in in three years. As far as this development ....don't worry. Either the Feds will step in via the courts to limit liability and/or there will be one of those "class action" cases where each person gets 23-cents. Haha.... I did have an oncology manager from a major healthcare provider tell me that cancer rates in their state increased 65% in 2024. Just so happens that half of my work is in chemo infusion now. Interesting how none of that made the news in the MSM. Makes one go "hmmmmm"....

Ironically, when being among the last to take the COVID shot in July, 2020, so that I could keep my shrug job, I asked for a safety data sheet, and the person administering it had no idea what an SDS was.
