I still use my classroom guillotine when I create greeting cards, my friend of 64 years had an outhouse in her back yard (we grew up in the country with horses, chickens and all the good stuff). Her particular structure had a sign "Here I am. My name is John." Great collection Carl! Still laughing!

"Classroom guillotine": quite appropriately named. During my soph year in high school (1972-1973 school year), I used one of these to lop off the tip of my left thumb. No bone damage, but still hurt like hell.

My neighbor, an unusually good Joke Teller. Tells the midget one to perfection.

His version, the little guy was in a 4x4 Pickup, RAISED UP. And he had a big stick, he used to get up/down the step with, and carried it menacingly.

He pointed the stick at my neighbor and said "I am not Happy!".

And my neighbor replied... "Which one are you then?"

He added... Apparently it wasn't Grumpy Either!
    As he smashed my headlights.

In the early 70's went to a summer home in Maryland along the Magothy River. There was an outhouse right along the edge that we used we roughed it then too : ))

Found that more detailed "child hell" article in my email this morning. A death sentence is too good for such scumbag pedophiles.
Wondering if that Sheriff Jody Wade is related to a Buddy Wade I knew. Found out a year ago that my old boss's oldest son is the mayor of Bibb County's Centreville.

Lots to do today, but it's a great start with TGIFfunnies!!! Dangerfield always nails the funny bone, LOL! Hmmm, do I get a set of those "I'm Old" stickers for my van? Yep, I've had to use one of those unisex comfort stations in my youth. Also, I used the classroom guillotine long ago. Thanks OUC for a great start for my day!

I remember when having a two-holer was really a sign that you had made it in life. Grew up on a farm and we went from a one holer to a cesspool (precursor to a septic tank). Also remember that there would be an old Sears and Roebuck catalog as a backup in case the TP ran out.

What's kind of weird is about 90 minutes after I posted that outhouse in Bibb County account, it was on Fox News that a pedophile ring got busted in Bibb County and that small kids stashed in a small storm shelter were rescued.

Great story, Dino! My mom insisted that I go with her to the family farm during the summer that I turned sixteen. We had to use an outhouse. I also had to wash in a basin under a tree. This was the worst two weeks in my life. When I finally got home, my parents couldn’t get me out of the bathroom. I stayed in there for a couple of hours just enjoying the toilet and the bathtub.

I had a BLAST! Got up early, spent the day in the woods and the farm down the street and came home for supper . . . everyday! . . .... until I had to go to school ! (what a bummer) - got a sister and a new house that year too! )

I remember using one up until 1958 when my parents built a new house where the old on stood. We lived in the cinder block garage until it was ready.

The outhouse at the end of the top row reminded of a day's adventure in the woods during the Seventies when I was a newspaper reporter in Bibb County, Alabama.
I was allowed to tag along with sheriff deputies tracking down an escaped jail inmate.
Besides the ruins of an abandoned house, that inmate was found hiding inside the wooden toilet of an outhouse.
It was not all that gross since the toilet had not been used for ages.
My story and a photo I took made front page news.
