Trump To Expand Alcatraz By Putting Up Fence Around San Fransicko

Snake Plisskon escaped from New York (and that's a cult classic), also LA but Clint Eastward beat him in a fantasy about escaping Alcatraz.
Me dino did a little research just before posting this BB (recall Bridgette Bardot called that) and realized forgetting that I ever saw that surprisingly bland Eastwood flick. Don't even think of renting that!
If I can't recall seeing a particular Eastwood flick while knowing I saw Plan Nine From Outer Space, you know it had to be worth forgetting.
To be fair, a Dirty Harry sequel of him saying "A man's got to know his limitations" helped me dino get through 21 years at a maximum security prison and bagging a retirement without ever getting hurt or "backstabbed" by some dirty conniving coworker. "Successfully backstabbed" I mean.
Once during my 21 years I had a supervisor who put crosshairs on my back by deliberately trying to get me in trouble. When he transferred to another prison~~what a relief that was!

At that same Camp Lejeune advanced training facility during1970 (Parris Island no fun but this was), I also got to shoot an advanced version of a World War Two bazooka twice. First was a practice rocket and the second exploded against a busted up old tank.
I got scolded when I called the weapon a bazooka.
One of two corporals in charge said, "Marines do not call this weapon a bazooka. Marines call that a rocket launcher."
To this day as far as I'm concerned, me dino fired a freaking BAZOOKA!"

Saw your note yesterday and figured I watch it again last night. Good old cliche' movie of the time. Unfortunately I fell asleep during part of it, LOL. With the eye patch I kept thinking of "Captain Ron", LOL.

Once would be enough for me.
When I was a little girl, all I wanted was a chance to fire a bazooka.
Don't ask me how I got the idea in my head (probably an old war movie), but I've always wanted one.

Me dino thinks for never have been there to see Alcatraz save from afar thrice during a two-day at a San Fransicko visit that culminated as a finally departing northbound across the bridge as a car tourist during the Seventies last time crossing the Golden Gate Bridge thinks and thanks a long considered trustworthy term2 (for actually being there) can only conclude you are definitely onto a far better idea.

I have visited Alcatraz. It was dilapidated mess. Why not make a prison in some remote area and leave Alcatraz as an interesting motel with restaurant- bar and fixed up accommodations for people who wanted the thrill not staying in a famous prison

The NYC version is the best and a cult classic with a great soundtrack. Me dino bought the CD way back when during the Eighties.
Unless I'm mistaken for somehow missing one, I've seen all the Dirty Harry flicks.
I've seen most of Eastwood's movies. I definitely gave a pass on the one that had something to do with fisticuffs and a pet ape.

    Ha, classic Bee!

Now I have to watch Mr. Plissken tonight. NYC version.

If you want to see Clint Eastwood in Alcatraz, but don't want to watch the escape movie, try The Enforcer, his third (I think) in the Dirty Harry series.

Yeah, that wouldn't hurt all of the many who have moved to flee that libtarded slime hole.

Dig a ditch along the state border, plant some explosives or fulcrum with a giant pry bar...maybe it would slide into the Pacific Ocean...

    Good idea, but
would not get planning permission as the sanitation arrangements (sewerage) would not pass Health Dept. rules for detention centers.
