As for the hungry praying mantis, I escaped lifelong misery by looking up a divorce lawyer.
Also more recently recall seeing three little grandkids (two boys and a girl) lined up on a couch each ignoring each other while peering into each one's cell phone as if all were mesmerized.
It gets creepy when that's your own flesh and blood.
Side note: In 1968 there was a sign in a hospital near where I grew up that said, "Smokers we'll see you soon. Menthol smokers we'll see you sooner." Recently I saw a sign that said, "Quitting smoking is easy. I've done it hundreds of times. - Mark Twain". I'm an ex smoker from a long time ago. Quitting is one of the best things I ever did. Starting at 16 was one of the worst.
