All of NYS is going to suffer even more over this Marxist move in NYC. As if Hochal wasn't bad enough at the state level. The Marxist Dems will get what they voted for and the rest will have to suffer for it. I hope NYC chokes on this big time!

Disregarding the sheer socialist changes, the "improvements" of defunding police and getting rid of jails while making prostitution legal alone should create one helluva hellhole.
It won't even be a pimp heaven. Me dino predicts even pimps will have to join gangs battling over turf.

NYC turned to a $#it-#0le in the 80's after banksters brainwashing of all residents starting in the 1930's.
They don't even realize that their only 'industry' is banks/WallSt stealing from everyone else.
Financial capital of the world? Corrupt parasite capital is closer to the truth.
The entire city has been accepting stolen trickle-down funds from thieves for 100+ years.
They are brainwashed not to see that everything they praise was stolen and corrupted for a century.
Any rational person who sees the reality gets away as fast as they can.

My first encounter with NYC was ca 1992 while taking a train from Western NY to Florida. We had to change trains in NYC and even had to change stations at the time (I think we came in to Penn Central and had to leave from New York Central or visa versa - only one station is used today). Anyway we had a short walk from one station to the other and during the walk there was a gang beating the hell out of some guy while the rest of the gang acted as crowd control. One member yelled at me and my wife and a few others changing trains, "Get back you people! Can't you see there's a mugging going on here?". Any thoughts of visiting NYC were permanently erased at that moment. I'm glad it's 400 miles away from where I live.

Sailing the Carlinda to Baltimore for the Christmas Parade in November we sailed down the Sound/to the river and right to the City, docking over night a short distance from the Towers during Andrew Cumo's time and the City was clean and safe for probably the first time in it's life!

A full blown worse than Karl Marx Marxist socialist has become the voting Democrat Party's choice to run against whoever will be the Republican choice in a Democrat city.
Good luck with letting convicts (everything from DUI drivers to 'undocumented" cartel gangsters) out of jails while defunding the police, legalizing prostitution and only taxing the footloose eager to scram rich to run free bussing (also subways?) while running government controlled grocery stores. Does that also mean free food?
Felt compelled to toast and butter an English muffin to chew on while writing the above.
Why? Bet English muffins will be too exotic for New York, New York Soviet-styled bread lines that I suppose Russia at least guarded with law enforcement. .

OH OH OH!!! Pumpernickel toast soaked in butter! Haven't had that in years! Yummy! 50 years ago in the neighborhood I grew up in there was a Polish bakery that made the most fantastic pumpernickel! Doesn't exist anymore.

Somehow me dino be over the top certain pumpernickel baked at that Polish bakery is better tasting than that sold at a Publix grocery I frequent.
For liking it I'll keep buying a loaf now jealous of never tasting what you have experienced.

Yeah, if either of us can coax H. G. Wells to swing by with his time machine we can go get some!

I remember going over there on my bike early in the morning so I can get a loaf fresh out of the oven. Also, way back in my youth when I had a morning paper route the last stop was a local doughnut shop that the owner made fresh doughnuts on premises - YUMMY! The glazed doughnuts still hot were the best ever - melt in your mouth goodness - bummer I can't have that much sugar anymore!

I'm a Type 2 diabetic but I do cheat with sugar every now and then.
Off and on during the last 2 weeks my blood sugar was too low.
So I got to cheat with something sweet! Readings are normal now.

I was born in New York City and moved away during its hellhole heyday of 1978.

Once in a while some completely clueless person asks me, "Oh. Why don't you still live in New York?" and instantly broadcasts his or her worldview and self-loathing voting pattern.

This year's Republican NYC Mayoral Candidate, Curtis Sliwa, came to speak at the church I was a member of about 15 years ago. I waited in a long line to speak to him afterwards, just to commend him for staying in NYC during the late '70's to fight the madness, while I scramoosed the heck out of there with a lot less hesitation than Dagny had leaving NYC for Galt's Gulch.

It would be nice for Sliwa to have a chance in the upcoming NYC mayoral election, but the primary win by a Communist pretty much compels every sane person in the city to get behind the most likely candidate to beat him, and that is the incumbent Mayor Adams.

Over the years I've read articles about Curtis Sliwa and caught him in a few interviews and TV appearances. Seems like a good guy that I admire, but Like Dagny, won't give up until the last possible minute. He is David without a sling and Goliath is on the move.
