Cool. I've been thinking for a long time, and I know I am not the first nor the only one, that what we see in outer space might be likened to a physical body or at least, function like the smallest parts of living things; galaxy's resemble blood platelets, the electrical dust between stars, solar systems might resemble a nervous system and that marvelous colorful blob in distant space might resemble a human fetus.
And why not, we already see that sunspots resemble Storms on earth, Cloud to ground and ground to cloud lightning are much like the filament eruptions on the sun.

    . . . as above so below

There was a book I read once, close to thirty years ago now, "The Self-Aware Universe", trying to bring quantum mechanics, cosmology and zen buddhism in synchrony.

      I forget who wrote it.

Interesting but I am not among those that think everything is alive and self aware but in terms of the Universe/Cosmos/Creation, the only thing self aware out there would be Causation.

Einstein might have liked that one.

Well, I didn't say I AGREED with it!!

Remember "Nights in White Satin"? or was it maybe "Knights in White Satin"? I lay in bed at night listening to that and wondering and then in the extended version the words to "Late Lament", ending with "Cold hearted orb that rules the night, removes the colors from our sight, red is gray and yellow white, but we decide which is right...and which is an illusion."

          Heavy. What is really real?

Thanks, enjoyed every moment of that one.

Didn't need to get high to listen to that music because it was the music that got you high.
Like reaching out to the universe . . .

Reaching out to the universe and realizing you just aren't that big of a personality after all!! Humbling experience, and some amongst the peoples of the earth should do it more often!

The Cover of my book is me reaching out to the universe, making my connections to non local and local quantum particles I suspect.
That's what I saw in a regression secession going from my first know memory and pushing to see what was before.
Don't normally do those things but it was an interesting one timer.

Did you ever read "Audrey Rose"? It explains why I said scary. From Wiki:

"Audrey Rose is a novel written by Frank De Felitta, published in 1975, about a couple confronted with the idea that their young daughter might be the reincarnation of another man's child. The book was inspired by an incident in which De Felitta's young son began displaying unusual talents and interests, leading an occultist to suggest to De Felitta that the child might be remembering a previous life. The book was followed by a 1982 sequel, For Love of Audrey Rose."

The early Church dismissed reincarnation as heretical.

Yep, just a lonely quantum particle. I saw light streaks from me to specific spots in the cosmos, which made me think that I was announcing my awakening prior to my long held memory of an incident on Easter at 2 years old. That would have been in 1954.

Two is pretty early, too. Pun intended!

My first memory was about age 3, my mother in the other room telling me it's okay to get out of bed, but I had dreamt that there was water all around me and the bed, and there were people in the water, screaming, around a big boat, and I cried because I couldn't get out of bed because of the water. But my uncle came along and lifted me up and comforted me. About 1947. Were there any wars going on then?

bunch of skirmishes in China, the middle east, Israel/Afghanistan etc.

Up until age 10, I had many out of body experiences, I could do it on purpose but the older I got the harder it became.

Maybe you were there or were privy (via the mind) to a memory?

Can't prove it but the quantum connection/ mind, is interesting. Perhaps a quantum particle is one's soul/ I /mind?

Did you ever read Madeline L'Engle's "A Swiftly Tilting Planet"? Well, not to get too absurd about these things, I think in her books for adolescents she refers to a sense called 'kything". Copilot explains it as "...a deep almost telepathic connection that allows [brother and sister] to understand and communicate with each other on a profound level".

Have not read but certainly heard of Telepathy, what ever you call it, it happens.

Oh, remember a little ditty: I will be working telepathic today so if you think of anything funny . . .that was me!

You asked if my dream was a memory or if I was there, and thinking about my other dreams, it seems as if I am a part of the other person, experiencing what he/she/they are experiencing at that moment or in that time frame. The water dream I had at three could have been like that, and may have been what frightened me.

Anyway, this is what L'Engle referred to as kything, and there was some awareness of a kind of sense like that during the Middle Ages. Kything.

The Galveston accident, it could be. My uncle was in the Navy, or had been, and I have associated the water and the people in the water with navy men. Apparently this ship had seen action during the War. It didn't mention people in the water, though and that was a very important part of the dream that was so frightening.

I don't know. I mean, was I there, was it a memory? Most dreams I have, carl, are precognitive. So at three years old, this dream could have been precognitive. I was certainly too young to understand.

Yes, I imagine it was interesting. I wonder what your first known memory was, or at what age.

                  Interesting and scary.

The really interesting thing is that prior, I had no knowledge what so ever with quantum physics, particles etc. It wasn't until I read one of the Spiral Dynamic books that I made the connection and studied more about it. The experience was so detailed, I reason nowdays that it was NOT A BRAINFART! LMAO
It reminds me of the many "Insights" I've had in life . . . again, had no academic right to have such thoughts.

Are you saying that before the regression, you didn't know anything about quantum physics, but afterwards you had some understanding of it?

What is a spiral dynamic book?

YES, It's like I saw it. I do have that inner sight (Literally)
Spiral Dynamics by Don Edward Beck and Christopher C Cowan Blackwell publishing
what stands out to me now is the book wide discussion of MEMES, laughing. Never made that connection till now.
Another book I read at the same time, can't remember the name but it put fourth ascending levels of Conscious awareness and a discussion of advanced levels observed. Somehow the two books fit together.

Maybe I should re read both and maybe finish what I started.

PS Spiral Dynamics of a different type caught my attention to that book. The Sun/Solar System rotate in a spiral pattern as we travel around the sun as well as the outer reaches of our Galaxy.
You can imagine how. The Sun travels at some 433,000 MPH (something like that) Imagine how the planets orbit around the sun as the sun spirals above and below the galactic plane. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jHsq...

I can't find an inexpensive pdf or kindle edition. Maybe I'll have to wait till next year, but it certainly looks interesting. A sort of Chaos theory built with spirals!!

I'll look it up. Strange things happen, that humans are not able to understand while in the space-time-material reality of existence. That's about all I can say.

That video is really cool. The first thought that came to my mind was that it was some sort of cosmological cycloid, in the sense that rotary motion is combined with lateral motion, if, indeed, the sun's path is lateral solely. (What if the sun is actually orbiting some larger cosmological formation or galaxy?)

The spiraling curve itself is one of the most interesting of curves to begin with, and even more interesting would be the 'forces' causing the spiral. Soon I will be getting back into my old groove, and can start doing some math again!

Our sun is part of the outer systems orbiting the center of our Milky Way home and we know we bob up and down (likely 6K years up, to above the galactic plane and 6K years to below the galactic plane. Above is where we are now but also, we are traveling through the current sheet who's Electromagnetic dust and debri will make our sun, metaphorically Sneeze in what we call a micro nova. 12K round trip.

I could watch that video all day long. you can see our orbit high above the sun's equator on the back side giving us here, winter and down under their summer and a little further out and below the sun's equator for our summer on the opposite side.

Theory (Observed) when our solar system makes it's dive heading to regions below the solar equator (a 6K year trip) changes our orbit giving us a 360 day year like ancient calendars recorded eventually to even out and increase to a 365 day year.

Some speculate that enough pushes via these recurring micro nova's might keep pushing us further and further from the sun. Maybe we'll end up where Mars is now and Venus takes our place and becomes habitable.
Maybe that's why we only have 1000 years of peace after the coming micro nova and then move to a new earth (Venus?).

Thank you. I have always been a stereo freak since musterning out of the USN back in 1973. I bought,IMO , a great system that I still have in the mid 70s and I always loved the old Simulcast concerts we had back then so we could watch on TV and play the music through our own systems.

It was brought to my attention this morning that these 'Eyes On The Sky" are brought to you by the EUROPEAN Southern Observatory. The world's most advanced optic telescope, derived ultimately from work EUROPEANS did with optics, in particular, Galileo (you know, from that race of murderers!!).

Because they are moving too. Everything in the galaxy is rotating, can't find a video that shows it all right now but here is a sufficient explanation: https://starchild.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/...

What it basically comes down to, though, is that mankind does not yet have the mathematical knowledge that will enable us to determine position accurately. If at all.

By the way, for all the physicists and engineers out there, it is not 'MOTION' that is relative; it is POSITION.

They haven't done to bad, we know we're above the galactic plain and in the current sheet (judging by observations and measurements of the other planets) and about were we are in the scheme of things. (at this point no need to pin point-can't do squat about much anyway) We have gotten more knowledge as to where we are and the nature of the current sheet from the pioneer space crafts - still ticken - amazing!

          Plane relative to what?

And as far as space crafts, I don't believe we have an accurate enough numerical measurement system to determine other than relatively where we are and where we are going.

And anyway, if the universe is infinite, (and if it isn't infinite, then what is outside it?) then any location in the universe is the center.

It's like those who say the universe is 'expanding'; in that case, I've always wanted to know, expanding into what?
