Biden is just trying to spend as much as he can before Trump gets in to take away trump's ability to accomplish anything.
If I were Trump, I would issue two executive orders on day 1:
1. ALL prior executive orders are null and void.
2. All discretionary spending will stop until re-approved by the new administration.
I may be retired but what good comes from making the economy go bust?
When I started receiving snailmail from up to three different groups of "fix the SS" ALL IN ONE DAY I began to smell the stench of a big time scam with several competing players. None has suckered one red cent from me the dino.
As for Biden giving government workers a SS raise, he's just a libtarded senile old POS probably following his Marxist handlers' orders anyways.

Schools have not been teaching how to think rationally and to recognize con games by those who have been praised as reputable.
If someone asked me if I would give up social security if they ended the program in a reasonable time frame, I would give up the $ in one nano-second. However, I'm not sending my own money back if the clown show will continue.

As for myself. I have worked for 40 years and paid in for over 32 of those years and rightly have a claim to that money. That is not something that I would be taking from others but from what I am entitled too. The fact that teachers were not currently in the system is something and that that has been rectified by this and would be beneficial to me.
If this hurts your feelings too bad for you. I don't like the system but will happily take the increase and deserve to be paid back. If you are so anti-Social Security then don't collect it. The Government will still force you to pay in and for you to make that choice seems stupid to me
You assert you are owed. In this case you assert you are owed more than others, and that we should expand a program to give you more from others.
You can not distinguish this position from supporting a new welfare program for teachers in retirement.

As a school teacher I actually approve this 1 thing that Biden has done. I understand and agree that this is not the right thing to do but the Government has screwed me over so many times in the past. That I am willing to over look this as at least this time I am on the receiving end.
For most this is not the right thing. Government workers who have never paid in and such. I however have paid in over MANY years and feel that I deserve and am owed a NORMAL amount as opposed to the REDUCED amount that a teacher normally receives. I have NOT suggested that I am owed more than anyone else. This is not a new welfare program for teachers though I can see your point for those who have NEVER paid into Social Security.
As for the original article suggesting that SS will be going insolvent. IDGAF about that. Both of my parents paid into SS over 45 years each. My father died after collecting for 2 months and my mother collected for approximately 2 years. Together they paid in more than 100 times what they collected. So the way that I see SS going insolvent is that they have stolen from the system and those of us who have paid in are OWED and have every right to expect payment!

I deserve it because I taught children, and worked 9 months a year. Reparations for me me me. Me me me deserve...I'll take more from others who serve me, through government force, because I deserve more. I care nothing about the government returning 30% on the investment as Milton Friedman demonstrated, and others paying 3 times what I receive, because I deserve it.
