A quarter of US "science" funding is now “diversity, gender, race” based, class warfare research. [Sorry, sKamala, that's not science.)

Americans should expect sKamala to fund science grants to help women in kneeling oral skill career advancements. "It's science because sKamala says it is."

Let's see ... Musk has a bit of the ingenuity of Henry Rearden and
the connected parasitical federal-tit-sucking of Orren Boyle.
Two opposites attracted in one person.
Like Trump, Musk has yet to prove himself to my standards
    of "hero".

The pirate who was just a "devil-may-care" individualist who admired Galt. Just my initial blush. This questions goes out to others also.

Just me. His recent actions and statements reminded me of Ragnar Danneskjold, loosely of course, lol.

One quarter goes to the Climate Change Scam
Another quarter goes to biological weaponry.
The last quarter goes into the pockets of the revolving door of lobbyists and dirty Congress Critters.

People like Elon Musk and other private investors should be the ones who "distribute" funding from their own assets.
The fedgov should never have been allowed to steal from People and give their earnings as bribes to other thieves.

In a sense this Joanne Nova article is hilarious. In another sense it reveals an appalling situation.

    To be fair, two comments:

    1. The source document is
    https://www.commerce.senate.gov/servi...

This is a PDF from US Senate Committee on Commerce Science and Transportation
Jo Nova's summary of it is good. It is not as pompous as many gov reports- no list of authors except the name Ted Cruz.

    2. The technique used appears to be word/ expression search. Comments on the JoNova site question the validity of that for science but it does give a fair representation of what people think.

Does this bias in funding really distort the work of real scientists?
Maybe, not as much as you may think as grant applicants, after a few months, get wise on how to fake it. They slip in a sentence and words they know are needed, no need to place carefully or integrate, the computer doing the search does not evaluate or care, just clocks up the count of correct words.

FFA implies a question that JoNova does not ask:
How much money, if any, should gov spend on (scientific) research?
