It's as if the whole UK government has gone F*ing psychotic.
You'd think Great Britain is still being run by iron-fisted monarchies.

The EU requires all its member countries to belong to ECHR. Britain, Norway, and Switzerland are not EU members but have friendship treaties with the EU that also compel ECHR membership. Despite these requirements there has been pushback: the Danish parliament gave Tommy and award for investigative journalism, and the Hungarians are refusing to let more of the migrants in.
My guess is that in the next 2-3 years the EU will break up over this issue or that of the flood of migrants generally.
Years ago I became friends with a young man who lived in Sweden. He, like many Swedes, was a liberal. But, even he was disgusted when the Swedish government started covering up the rape of Swedish girls at the hands of muslim immigrants and persecuting the Swedish men who protested it.
