Yes, thanks. I've read several of her books over the years and didn't recall the title when I wrote the post. If challenged, I would have looked it up. I liked her insight on many topics and her "slice and dice" satire and off the cuff remarks kept me smiling. Gosh, the left really hated her, which means she was over the target.

Yes, Senator McCarthy was right. Some time back I read a book by Ann Coulter that outlined the details. The budding Marxist media cut its teeth on bringing down McCarthy while the greatest generation was occupied on building America and rebuilding Europe and Japan after WWII. These things would never would have happened a generation ago. I think we can agree on that.

This world has gone batshit crazy. I'm almost 68, and I hope to be around for quite a while longer. But there's a deep-seated fear of what I'll see if I do. I feel really bad for my son and his family, and for my wife's kids and their families, and everyone else who will be around to see the inevitable collapse of society.

It looks that way, but the way I see it the greatest generation was too busy working for a living and raising a family to really notice how they were getting screwed. They believed what they were told because many actually did achieve the "American Dream" compared to the rest of the world and many of us are still living it - even though we can now clearly see we're getting screwed.

The slow brainwashing has been very effective on every generation since 1865.

The only chance we have is to realize that no generation is at fault, and no generation is/was immune.
