In some of my work I was asked by a client what I thought I Tesla - in terms of the stock. In my answer I blurted out (almost without thought) "If the Federal government doesn't shut him down Elon will go down in history as an American business success story." In reality, he already has. But...spoken like a true Objectivist - haha... I'm a big fan of the company and its CEO.

It is my understanding that Elon Musk has received billions in direct and indirect subsidies from the federal government, state governments, and foreign governments. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's hardly my idea of an American business success story.

    He's a visionary - I'll give him that.
But I don't think you have to fear the Federal government shutting him down. He's big into solar power, is anti Keystone pipeline, and signed on to "The Giving Pledge".
