Security breached: Intruder gets into White House

Things that make you go "hmmm..."

Our Dear Leader has done nothing to help finish the fence along the border between Mexico and the US stating that it won't work, so as I read this I wondered why there is a fence around the White House.

Maybe he should just issue one of his executive orders to have the fence removed since it doesn't work.

I'd like to know why we are seeing so many incursions onto the White House lawn.

    Onec is happenstance.

    Twice is coincidence.

And the third time it's enemy action.

    (Ian Fleming)

This is inexcusable. When Bush was in office, they had snipers on the roof who could mirror your every move while you sat and ate your soup at the rooftop restaurant at the Washington Hotel across the street.

No, but I can google-- Goldfinger!
I find Ian Fleming fascinating. His real-life was almost as colorful as Bond’s. I haven’t got a copy of Goldfinger. I’m trying to save up for a 1st edition of the 'Spy Who Loved Me’ -- an early, British edition that hasn’t been sanitizes for the masses. I bought a copy of 'Ian Fleming Introduces Jamaica’, a couple months ago. Interesting man. I love vintage espionage stories and characters.

"Security breached: Intruder gets into White House"

Sounds like a headline from January of 2009...

I served as a classification wizard, years ago, and
could absolutely not imagine how our nation could
grant this man the keys to the classified info room.
it defies all logic. we defend classified info with our
lives, yet give it away with a scurrilous vote.

the people have gone nuts. -- j

I think a film made him do it. Or maybe it's Bush's fault. Mr. President, "Tear Down that Fence", that'll prevent people illegally coming to the White House. Maybe we could set up a tent city on the White House lawn.

I suspect these are dry-run tactics to feel out security. Either O is doing them to amp up national scrutiny on US citizens OR terrorists are feeling out what weaknesses there are to be more effective in their actual attack.

Consider: Had this Omar character been wearing a bomb belt the entire face of the White House would have been blown off the moment he passed through the door. Also, he could have been wearing a chemical weapon vest which would have released the moment he was shot OR perhaps several vials of ebola.

In any event the reprimander-and-thief wasn't home (as usual).

The Secret Service should electrify the fence like at the prison I used to work at. They they should lock Obama inside and throw away the key,
Measures should also be taken to see that no one can threaten him with a phone call either. Oh, I know how! Divert all electric power to the fence.

Many years ago I worked with another engineer who told me about his visit to the White House. I think it took place in the 80s. He said he just walked up the walkway to the front door, up the steps, and into the house. Nobody stopped him. Nobody questioned him. Different times...

    What's the big deal?

The WH is just as "secure" as our Southern border, thanks to Barry Hussein's policies.

Cute quip, but not substantive. Security at the White House is not within the purview of the President: he is subject to it. "Barry" was Barack Obama's nickname in a previous life. Not many people today can still call me "Mick." I point out that George W. Bush was never called "Dubya" until his strategists invented it for him: he was too inconsequential to have a nickname. We called President Kennedy JFK, though his family called him "Jack." And Hillary Rodham was in Youth for Goldwater. A person is a process.

I suspect that there are more than a handful of secret service agents, who secretly are thinking:

"Damn, we can't let the patrols lapse any more without people noticing that we really don't care if our 'protectee' gets shot..."

    or...

"I realize it's in my job description to take a bullet for these assholes. But {expletive deleted}! Eh, it's not like they can bring me up on charges for having a sudden attack of 'self preservation'."
