The science is never really settled. And, the minute you don't allow opposing hypothesis you no longer have science. I've been having discussions about this in the office lately. I've spent so much time doing energy calculations and I keep saying, "Imagine if some scientists come out and say 'If we don't start burning more fossil fuels immediately we'll all freeze to death in 15 years!'"....haha! That would make an interesting novel and movie...The pandemonium and resulting disaster. Much like the movie "Don't Look Up".
