Judges who run kangaroo courts like this should be subject to massive fines and worse. On appeal this case will be overturned. That should trigger an ethics investigation of this hatchet man and
Big Penalties.

Eurporon has done more to alienate the business community than anyone in history. No harm no foul. Will he then indite the banking industry for accepting Trumps stated property values? After all, if they had disagreed then perhaps the loans would never have been made. How the hell did the judge pass the bar?

The judge, the DA, the AG, the Mayor, the Governor and the entire judiciary in NY are all democrats and NY is failing miserably. That should send a clear message to every NY resident with half a brain.

I hope Trump and his family remove every single penny invested in New York and refuse to do business there ever again.

There are friendlier states that would welcome him with open arms.

This creepy judge reminds me of a Nazi judge I saw in a news reel long ago who screamed at defendants and never really allowed them to put up a defense and simply sent them to the gallows or concentration camp. I'm also reminded of the Soviet "legal system" and courts mentioned in "The Gulag Archipelago". I hope Trump gets re-elected and HAMMERS these commies!

First, I am not a fan of the Click-Baity-ness of the actual story. It was NOT that big of a win.

Second, the REAL punishment is the BAIL Bond.
Trump will have to PAY and FORFEIT 10% of his lawsuit amount in the form of a Bond. That's like $35 million. The JUDGE KNEW this. And even if over turned, this is the cost of trying to fight it. Trump must pay this while appealing.

I find this truly appalling. And is probably why the judge put such a high number on the damages.

This mess is a travesty of our justice system.
BLM gets paid MILLIONS for their arrests when they burned, abused, and looted when Trump was elected. But Jan 6th defendants get Decades in jail and huge fines.

It's like dealing with a toddler who is trying to figure out "Do I really have to listen to these big people?"...

Walk back? The NY justice system insists that Trump pay $400 million in order to appeal this biased rubbish..
When NY pays Trump $500 million for the treason against him, and reverses all the biased decisions, then that's walking back.

This judge is an idiot for even fining Trump. Such stupidity is beyond believe. If I had any connection with NW, I would make plans to sever it NOW, rather than wait for the hammer to drop on me

Maybe the Truckers can effect a bigger pullback than that. I could only hope. We'd probably do like the Canadians and confiscate their trucks.

CNN and Bloomberg report that several big investment firms are relocating out of New York, or divesting assets located there, or both. There is also an active boycott in which truckers are refusing to haul loads into New York.

In short, Engoron's arbitrary kangaroo-court has destroyed the reputation of the state as a safe place to do business.

The judge may think he can avoid being reversed, alleviate this danage, and/or save his career by reducing the fine. I doubt that he will achieve any of those things. He is a partisan hack who targeted Trump by name when reelected, and he has no business being a judge.
