Donald Trump, On the Stump. Is He An Entertainer or a Statesman?

"The brain screams to laugh at the situation, but everyone pretends it’s not funny. In a related note Trump went after the “fake news media” five or six times. “Is there anybody in this room that’s not going to vote for Trump?” he asked at one point, before quickly interjecting: “Don’t raise your hand. It could be dangerous. They’re going to say, ‘He incited an insurrection!’” Pointing at us now: “These stupid bastards! ‘He incited an insurrection!’” The hall again filled with laughs, like the set of a Don Rickles roast.
This isn’t Hitler, unless we’re takling about the Mel Brooks version. Anyone who argues none of this is funny is lying. If you want to say Trump is funny and a buregeoning fascist threat to democracy, that’s an argument that can be had, maybe. But I don’t think that holds up either, considering the context:
It’s too bad we’ll be in civil war and stabbing each other for shelter before it’s appreciated, but Trump’s story is the great comedy of our time.
In the fifteen years before the oft-mocked real estate magnate ran for president, the U.S. introduced torture, kidnapping, warrantless arrest (back for the first time since 1861), drone assassination, Minority Report-style predictive policing, preemptive war, mass surveillance, and a long, long list of other lunacies into our culture. These weren’t small changes, but sweeping rewrites of Schoolhouse Rock promises, things that as a citizen made you want to puke from shame.
Trump was just getting started on the campaign trail when headlines like “‘Sodomized’ Gitmo Detainee Recovering After Surgery. Prison: No Comment” hit the news, letting us know at least one terror suspect needed a special pillow for court after years of “rectal feeding.” A little-noticed detail from the email scandal of Hillary “Love Trumps Hate” Clinton involved correspondence showing Trump’s general election opponent objected to just 1 of 294 extralegal drone strikes (causing 2,192 deaths) approved during her tenure as Secretary of State.
America’s leaders had been peeing on every Amendment in the Bill of Rights for over a decade, even going back in time to disavow pre-American traditions like habeas corpus and grand jury secrecy. Just as the population was beginning to figure out how low we’d sunk, we were told the true outrage against “norms” came when the DNC’s own preferred candidate, Trump, got elected in the loudest record-scratch in history.
It was absurd. Trump was a small-timer compared to his opponents. Through 2015 he was famous in a media circles mainly as the kind of person the educated set liked to make fun of, a “short-fingered vulgarian” who liked gold leaf, fake tits, and online steaks. If Barack Obama was the avatar of upper class probity, a lean multiracial scholar fawned over by the Nobel Committee, Trump was the opposite, an artery-clogged casino boss with bankruptcies and a comb-over. His sales ideas were very hit and miss, but unfortunately for politicians, running for president was the biggest of his hits."

Why vote for Trump?
"Trump is a flawed human being."
But he isn't an evil Deep State Traitor.
D.C. Tear It All Down, Donnie, and Give Us Back Our Country and Our Freedom.

Why vote for Trump?
"Trump is a flawed human being."
But he isn't an evil Deep State Traitor.
D.C. Tear It All Down, Donnie, and Give Us Back Our Country and Our Freedom.
that is good enough for me
Now it looks like the LABIARALS (what do they care about if isn't sex or race?) are throwing all their support to have Trump win the primary because they think he's the most beatable, or they're doing a hail-mary pass praying that they can trip him up somehow.
Maybe the Deep State wants him to win, the ensuing protests will be used as a crisis of opportunity to launch the National Guard and they will usurp even more power. They don't care who's President! As long as they're in charge! They will amass power until they can't hold it and drop it.
I'd vote for him before I'd vote for anyone running against him, though.
Suddenly I recall voting for Ronald Reagan twice for favoring the Gipper over anyone else the same way. Well, Reagan ain't running against the Donald, now is he? So there.
He is half comedian, half entertainer...
But he is 100% American!
in 2016, I truly felt he was MY VOICE.
While he failed to lock her up, and failed to do a bunch of things (Snowden, Assange), I am sure he was getting "horrible advice" from the insiders.
On the other hand. He's been the best President of my lifetime. Knocking Reagan out of the #1 position by a long mile. (Especially when you realize the problems Reagan Created with Amnesty w/o getting Birth right citizenship removed in law, See CA... And allowing Public Unions to exist, and not shutting them down. See the DEMs $$ and VOTING base). Those are FAR worse things than ANY mistake Trump made.
Oh, and to the never Trumpers who think "the 60% should bend over and take it, so those WEAK arse Vaxx Suckers can feed the Deep State someone they prefer..." Go FYourself!
try again for a REAL reason
to not vote for him

If that's the case, there isn't evidence of rape or any crime under the law.
One of my best friends' sister had a bratty 8 year old daughter who he was left alone with while the sister was out shopping. At one point she became such a pain in the ass that he told her to shut up and pushed her toward the bed where she sat down. He punished her by telling her to stay in her room until her mother came home.
25 years later the grown brat claimed to her mother that she was sexually assaulted. Hell, he had completely forgotten the incident because it was inconsequential and involved nothing more than a push and harsh words. Fortunately the mother mostly didn't believe the lying brat, but she did think it important enough to ask about it.
Utter bullshit.
New York changed the law just in time to cause problems for Trump, the enemy of New York's leftist treasonous politicians?
A New York jury? Newsweek?
Why not Pravda?
Could there be a more biased place for Trump to be judged?
Has there ever been a time in history for any public figure to be more likely to be victimized by a biased court in order to prevent his possible election?
I'm not fond of Trump as a human being. To me he's an unlike-able public buffoon (who happens to care about what's being done to wreck the country he grew up to love.)
But targeting him because he might have made advances in private on an adult woman many years in the past just in time to cause him to lose votes against a TRAITOR like Buydem is utter rubbish.
Trump is an easy target for the media and a wealthy guy.
If he'd been an average blue collar worker, that lawsuit would have gone no where because there wouldn't have been an evil political reason to target an average guy, and no lawyer would have bothered because there wouldn't have been a possible pot of gold for the shyster to go after.
Maybe the law hasn't given justice to some women who have been assaulted, but this irrational law (designed by lawyers to financially benefit lawyers and politicians, imo) is not the solution.
There are reasons not to vote for Trump, but, imo, this gold-digging frame-up is not one of them.
I will argue back a key point. Learn the facts of the case.
Would it be possible for ANYONE to RAPE YOU in a CHANGING room in a High-End STORE, During the Day with Employees there, AND NO Police Report be filed?
B/C that is what was "claimed"...
The reality is... IF he had sex with her, in that environment. It was CONSENSUAL AT THE TIME. And only RAPE when others PAID her lots of MONEY to come forward.
If you think it is otherwise... Please explain why NO EMPLOYEES testified they knew it was happening but Trump paid them for their silence or some such?
That lawsuit was a JOKE. Beyond the statute of limitations... And so full of holes... The Swiss Cheese was blushing.
