Excerpt:
"Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.), who chairs the House Administration Oversight Subcommittee that is currently investigating security lapses connected to the Capitol riot and potential ramifications for upcoming criminal trials, is questioning the disappearance of the video evidence.

“All of the videotapes of all depositions are gone,” Mr. Loudermilk told the "Just the News, No Noise" television show Thursday night.

“We found out about this early in the investigation when I received a call from someone who was looking for some information off one of the videotapes, and we started searching, and we had none,” Mr. Loudermilk explained.

“I wrote a letter to Bennie Thompson asking for them. And he confirmed that they did not preserve those types. He didn't feel that they had to."

According to Mr. Loudermilk, the videotapes met the requirements for congressional evidence under House rules because some of the segments were shown at hearings, and the now-defunct J6 committee, led by Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss), ought to have kept all of the recordings.

“According to House rules, you have to preserve any data and information and documents that are used in an official proceeding, which they did. They (J6 Democrats) actually aired portions of these tapes on their televised hearings, which means they had to keep those," Mr. Loudermilk said.

"Yet he chose not to.""

The corrupt Soviet trial CYA coverup is now in full swing. Why does this not surprise me? Why would I not be surprised if the J6 inquisition trial perpetrators get away without so much as a scolding? I don't believe the GOP has the spine to see this through and the commies will all be saying in unison, "Crime? What crime? - Who me?"

Edit add: Interesting bit from the article, "A court recently denied President Trump's legal team's request for specific material from the Jan. 6 committee. District of Columbia Judge Tanya Chutkan turned down the former president, saying his requests were essentially a fishing expedition." Hah! The whole trial is a fishing expedition against President Trump! Apparently fishing licenses are granted for the prosecution, but not for the defense. Commie corruption right up to their eyeballs!

OK, I noticed another tidbit. That is, the Judge needed a 10 page treatise to answer the Trump team request. The word "no" has only two letters and with the proper punctuation can produce an entire sentence. The old adage, "If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, then baffle 'em with bullshit." comes to mind. IMHO, if the judge was in the right a simple "no" with a couple of paragraphs on a single page would have been all the brilliance needed to defend her position. However, 10 pages of baffle sure smells of bullshit to me. Yeah, I'm not a lawyer and I didn't read the treatise, but TEN pages to say "no"?

Why am me the dino not surprised?
Yes. we have no bananas, the banana republic said with a wink, wink and a nudge, nudge and a "Say no more."
Get it? Don't go away mad. Just go away.
Meanwhile, way far back when the great American experiment began, Benjamin Franklin told some lady who inquired about what (used to be our "We The People's" government), Franklin said, "It's a republic . . . if you can keep it."
Oops! Slippery things can slip. Now can't they?

This is the same government that records and keeps permanent copies of every one of everybody's emails. Right, The House should create a permanent record keeping bureau, with multiple redundant backups, for exactly this sort of thing. Long prison terms for anyone who "misplaces" the information. In the meantime, as Abaco said, any trial where the defense needs this destroyed information is now a mistrial, as they can no longer defend themselves. If they keep him off the ballot, write Trump in, in '24.
