There is no "Palestinian Land". The West Bank was part of "Trans-Jordan" before the Arab countries attacked Israel. Israel warned Trans-Jordan not to join the attack. When the latter did and was defeated, it lost the West Bank as punishment. This has been the case throughout history and is a legitimate deterrent to war.
