I read MS's "Apocalypse Never" and thought it was interesting. He reminds me of Bill Maher - certainly liberal, but much less insane than most of the lefties that capture the news cycles.

I might add that the religion of WOKEism also has sacraments(jabs), vestments(masks) and dogma(“I got my COVID Booster”).

I disagree with some of his environmentalism but we are well beyond being able to pick and choose who our allies are. Anyone not actively championing your incarceration or death is a friend. We can argue the relevant points later if society survives being “Safely and Effectively” genetically modified.

Incidentally the most damning piece of evidence presented in the Laptop story is the 2019 FBI Subpoena confiscating a laptop that ostensibly “didn’t exist” by October of 2020. But that’s just a sideshow compared to the actually important issues.
