    the Earth is still recovering from the Little Ice Age
    and the Last Ice Age

    the Great Lakes area is still rebounding upwards from the ice sheet that covered it

    Maybe, that is why Rome fell. Man-made climate change. It must have been due to all those oil lamps and oil cook stoves, and oil heated bawdy bath houses....
