I recall an old interview with Elon ... back in the PayPal days... the founders wanted to create a monetary trading platform that was more than just a platform, it would have the elements of BTC (BitCoin) as well as provide instantaneous clearing between banks and serve as a mechanism for the creation of money (actually, currency) -- they were going to call it Project X. The idea with the Twitter purchase is more along the lines of buying the network effect of the Twitter clients and use that as a foundation from which to implement the rollout / vision of Project X. My thought is that this will become part of the instrumentation for the deployment of MMT through UBI -- a back channel for FedNow / FedCoin.
