Maui is Proof That the Government Doesn't Like Us

I've been following the coverage of the fire and response to it and, frankly, I'm having trouble wrapping my head around it. Making it worse...there's been a load of censorship around this whole event. I have multiple thoughts around it and only one is now cemented in my mind...They're trying to starve out the locals so that they'll leave it all behind. Other than that, it's a big ole WTF(?).

What should be included in the list is high fuel prices, the Chinese buying up US farmland, burning down of food production facilities, the East Palestine trainwreck, the Maui fires then the Oligarchs rolling in buying up burnt properties. I'm sure puppet Biden will say stupid things when he visits Florida.

It is not that they don't like us, it is that we are their unwitting slaves.

No only do they not like us, they do not respect us. They want 75% depopulated, which is what we are seeing in Maui. Book written on Azamon with deetails ahead of the reality? Signed legal seizure of burned land, before the fires started? That is greed at work. Pwople denied water to fithe for their homes, and made to say out as their children burned! Taht is downright faxcist! They are not just totalitarian globalist, they are the spawns of Hitler!

Maybe If Maui were more like YouCraine: Money Launderers, Drug and Weapons Traffickers, Sex Slave Traffickers (including children), Bio-Weapons Laboratories (48 at last count) and all-around Nazis, maybe that would pique TraderJoe's and Congressional interest.
But Nooooo. No money to be made here.

We would have to invade Maui, and funnel money to Boeing, Raytheon, Lockeed-Martin and all the other War-Pig Industries so they can then funnel that money right back to the DNC in the form of "campaign contributions"
    Nice Racket? No?

Did you know, in our 250 some odd year history, this country was not in some war for only 3 (three) years. And those three years were before the Civil War.
Does any one know the difference between the America War Flag and the American Civil Peace Flag? Yes, there is a difference. The American Civil Peace Flag was our publicly flown flag before the Civil War. It has not been publicly flown since. Sad.
Outside nations certainly fear us, (and for good reason) but it is unlikely they still respect us.

FEMA did and still does a rotten job.

I was at the 1989 Loma Prieta quake, one of the last large disasters before FEMA came online, and the local authorities handled it just fine.

My favorite. FEMA are spending $1,000/day per hotel room. BUT the Citizens who lost everything gets about $700 ONE TIME.

    Seems like poor value judgements!

Yeah, SALT WATER can extinguish fires.
Sure it is not ideal... BUT it's an ISLAND surrounded by SALT WATER. LOL

A bigger problem than the grid is the salinity of seawater. It would have to be desalinated first or it would corrode the system and clog things up, not to mention what the runoff would do for local regrowth. Possible but definitely the larger hurdle.

Well, you wasted a TON of electrons there. "Government Doesn't Like" is easily rebranded to say "Government HATES US." I see BobCat, below, has a good take on it.

Learned from watching Jesse Watters last night that FEMA has been having a great good time with taxpayer money spending nights at the plush priciest hotels on another Hawaiian Island.
The show's research discovered there are many inexpensive seaside motels available on the same island with vacant rooms .
So remember, folks, FEMA is from the government who come to help us while also ripping us taxpayers off.

Let me get this straight....is this article saying the local dummycrats let the fires burn so that they could replace everything with more expensive homes/hotels that could cater to rich lefties???

Agreed. Despite the short comings of 'W" he did send FEMA to NOLA following Katrina. He did do a fly over to observe what he could see to avoid creating more problems on the ground with security. Unfortunately his FEMA director was not qualified for the job. I don't recall "W" ever saying "no comment."

👍 Desalination is the approach taken on many islands with low rainfall. Rainfall is ample (40" to 80" per year) in many parts of Maui.
Perhaps collection and distribution are the issue where tourism business and tourists are concentrated?
I know that Honolulu often gets no rain while on the other side of Oahu rain is frequent
and heavy enough that a mist blows across the island to Honolulu's Waikiki Beach.

Yeah, as if so-called man-made climate change is responsible for every disaster.
For a personal example~~Last June my car got totaled due to a lady who came zooming around a tight curve. Too short was that one second I had to react. So is it her fault?
Heck, no! It's both our faults for buying internal combustion engines. The earth mother was displeased.
Me dino bought another internal combustion engine. I am surely doomed.

I read a hilarious article in the Canadian website Rebel Media the other day.
FEMA swooped into Maui and tried to take over, and the citizens, who had formed their own relief organization and were doing just fine, kicked FEMA out.

If Hawaii's water is that scarce, they need to build a system that supplies sea water to fire hydrants. The trick will be making it reliable even when the islands' flaky electric supply isn't working.

It must be political for the Xiden administration. Let it burn and press the climate change agenda.

Again….my humanity is faltering. When they started blaming Climate Change for one of those things that just happened. (Like the great Chicago fire started by Mrs. O’Leary’s cow.) I find it humanly impossible to care less.

It's mind blowing, no one is helping, aside from a few, including Mercury one (Glenn Beck).

Trumpet would have been there before the fires went out (IN PERSON!). . .Briben?...crickets, no comment . . .
