Brainwashed Useful Idiots - Like, Totally Orwellian: Nearly A Third Of GenZ Favors 'Government Surveillance Cameras In Every Household'

Excerpt:
"Nearly one-third of Generation Z says they'd be just fine with government-installed surveillance cameras in every household under the guise of reducing domestic violence and other illegal activity.

"Would you favor or oppose the government installing surveillance cameras in every household to reduce domestic violence, abuse, and other illegal activity?" asks a new survey from the Cato Institute. Of the responses, 29% of those aged 18-29 said yes.

As the NY Post notes;

In 1791, the utilitarian philosopher Jeremy Bentham proposed building a “panopticon” in which people’s behavior could be monitored at all times.

But Bentham’s panopticon was meant to be a prison. A sizable segment of Generation Z would like to call it home.

When it comes to other age brackets, 20% of millennials (between the ages of 30 and 44) also want everyone watched."
------------------------------------------------------
To vote there MUST BE A Civics and Free Market Economics test. Anyone scoring Less than 90% should not be allowed to vote. Only voters should be allowed to monitor counting of votes.

On Jesse Watter's show on Fox does a short segment where his producer goes out in public places and the beach asking questions of young people on Civics, current events and etc; it upsets me that they know nothing! Schools have failed, and both secondary and higher educational facilities have failed. Our republic is headed for the ash heap of history!

See Charlotte Iserbyt ,or NormanDodd interview by G Edward Griffith.
If you want to know about the education system.Regarding spying, They already have the capacity to conduct surveillance in your home with cell phones and tablets and smart TV’s.

Benevolent and Dictator don't seem to go together. At least not historically speaking anyway.

Something like ST would require a cognesent central enemy for mankind as a whole to focus on. Otherwise we will continue to bicker internally and never come together. Not that I in any way desire a 1 world government. Mostly I just want to be left alone and have as minimum of a government as necessary.

I am more inclined to use The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress as a guide instead of Starship Troopers.
But that still required a benevolent IA dictator for success, not a likely reality, imo.

I pretty much agree with you, though inheriting morons tend to squander their inheritance and leave their next generation poor again.

Heck I could support something like in Starship Troopers where only Veterans get a vote.

I agree that having something to lose to government overreach does create focus,
but morons can inherit assets and be too ignorant or brainwashed to understand
    the value of individual liberty.
A Voter Intelligence test would encourage a higher quality participant in the election
process. The useful idiots interviewed on campuses should not have a voice in
destroying the freedom of people who have worked to understand the benefits
of liberty and the destructive nature of every single government.

There was a reason the education system was sabotaged. This way you can take total control from this generation.
The government will never be able to install any sort of surveillance system in my home. They will have to kill me first and then the system would be useless.

I have argued for a citizen to have the Right to Vote they have to have some skin in the game, "own property or public service...that kind of thing." The Constitution was set up this way originally as you had to be a land owner. We need to get back to this concept as by having skin in the game would make people more likely to vote responsibly.

Bought a new home recently. The previous owners decided to make it a smart house. Took me approximately a month to take all that crap out. Would have done it on day 1 but moving in took precedence obviously. They had cameras in each room except the bathrooms and all connected to a system that could be accessed from the internet. Almost didn't buy the house because of that but got a good price and a good rate.

Big Brother is not welcome in my home.

We were given a gift of one of the Google or Apple things that you could ask questions of from anywhere in the room. I sent it back for a refund with out setting it up. Well meaning people do not pay attention to what they are actually doing :-(

As much as I loved being able to ask Alexa what time it was, what the weather was, and to play music for me, I turned it off, unplugged it and it sits in my closet now. I will probably throw it out eventually. I realized that it was listening to me when it would respond to me when I wasn't asking it a question, simply because it's programmed to listen and respond to what it "Thinks" is a question, and that made realize that it could possibly be collecting data and if so, for whom.

These same idiots mean it to be a prison for everyday people, too. Don't let them fool you.

Who watches the watchers? Who wants to watch others taking a crap? Or maybe people are so insecure that they want 24/7 guardians for protection.

We. Are. Screwed. No dinner beforehand, no benefit of a reach-around.

And I love the idea of passing Civics and Economics tests as a condition of the privilege of voting. I would also add that ONLY United States citizens should even be allowed to take those tests.

Of course, we all know the tests would automatically be racist, so half the population (the Dumbocrat half) would be against this concept.

The vote each one of us casts for Representative, Senator, and Prez/Veep affect every other person in this country. It makes sense that there should be a competency level that everyone should have to meet before being able to cast that vote that affects 350 million other people.

I kinda feel bad for the people who are going to be required to put their own children down. But I look at it this way, they will have the option of euthanizing them mercifully.

Because if the Gen-Z brats actually adopt the Orwellian mantra, they will be put down hard and brutally by those of us that won't accept Big Brother's screens in our homes.
