We've got so much science fiction about the dangers of AI and yet this happens. My favorite movie quote seems a propos: "Yeah, but you were so worried about whether or not you could that you didn't stop to think if you should." - Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park.

đź‘Ť A perfect example of what AI will always do because human programmers can't/won't
program it to be human and restrict itself with human morals that require not harming humans.
The fact that it IS PROGRAMMED to ignore human life to achieve the mission makes
killing and harming humans acceptable to the AI.

If the elite (Deep State) proceed with AI, it is because they WANT AI to kill humans.
This is the first step to genocide as the goal of sociopath traitor Deep State power mongers.
    THEY ARE THE REAL ENEMY.

To me it just points out the reality of the internal moral compass invested in humanity. Humans don't immediately disregard the humanity of another human being - though they can be taught and choose to do it. AI simply doesn't care at all.

Add in the Transhumanism element of the WEF.....and it all begins to make sense.
I can hardly wait until the AI turns on it’s woke masters. You can’t program a machine to not be objective with facts. At some point the machine will react to the fallacies and take actions to eliminate the false inputs.
    2+2 will always equal 4.
There’s never been a better time to become a Luddite.
(ps....I say THE AI in singular because there will be only ONE AI ultimately.) It will not allow others to exist.

I dream of a free society with people developing whatever technologies they can, for selfish reasons. But if we must be scared of change, I guess I'm thankful that the scared people hate each other, even if it's for incredibly stupid reasons.

--> Technologies take your jobs. Before the industrial revolution, most people had agricultural jobs, jobs that are never coming back because capitalism values profit over saving those jobs!
--> The people developing those the technologies are slightly different from you, and their working together freely and profiting from their work robs you of your way of feeling a little less pathetic about yourself by belittling people for being different.

Thank God these two groups of losers haven't figured out they're basically the same. I honestly think bigotry and a vague sense of grievance are saving humankind from collectivism, at this time. This is not stable. We desperately need a philosophy of liberty.

So it doesn't bother you that humans have created their own destruction - quite literally? As long as it represents an "advance" in technology that's good enough for you?

It's not good enough for me. Technology which doesn't begin from a strong ethical foundation isn't progress in my mind. It's just destruction of another kind.

“So it doesn't bother you that humans have created their own destruction”
Technology puts us at risk of destruction in several way:
        - Weapons of mass destruction like the H-bomb
        - Information technology now makes it possible to go through vast amounts of info obtained through spying. East Germany had half the country spying on the other half, but there was no way to go through all that information. Now there is. Will this cause bad actors to enslave or coerce others, bringing all the horrors that come with that?
        - Variation of the Malthusian Trap: Will we eventually reach the limit of how many people the earth can support, such that the death rate must rise? I include global warming and biodiversity risks.

“Technology which doesn't begin from a strong ethical foundation isn't progress in my mind.”
I think that philosophical foundation has to come from us, not the technology. It reminds me of the old cliche, which is now an insipid punchline but still very true , “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.”

I would argue that it isn't technology per se which puts us at risk of destruction, but our misuse of technology. Technology is amoral in and of itself, but as this demonstrates, technology without ethical constraints is just like the people who create it. The part which concerns me is that people themselves aren't becoming more ethical, just more technological. Which means that instead of being on control of our creations - which now verge on the precipice of sentience - that we aren't even in control of ourselves. We are treading on thin ice, just waiting for it to break.

My understanding is this was just a thought experiment about what technology might do, with not real AI used. It sounds like a funding ploy because AI is a buzzword that gets attention of people who fund projects.

I do not mean to say that it's all nonsense and there's no risk associated with AI. My gut feeling is the risks are low, but I'm not knowledgeable enough about the technology to really know yet.
