That was long. Was he reviewing Dirty Dancing or The Fountainhead? Robby didn't rape Penny in Dirty Dancing. They were dating when he got her pregnant. The only connection I can make is that Robbie thinks Rand wants him to only think of himself. Unlikely that people watching the movie got as much out of it as this blogster supposes.

This is incredibly long.... it references the rape scene..."some people count, some people don't"...total stretch to link his raping Lisa or Penny or whoever got pregnant and he was shirking responsibility and justifying it with the Fountainhead. Whew...

The script writer was a Rand hater. (I don't know this I'm just deducing....what else would add up?)

I remembered the Rand part, and I enjoyed the movie except for that bit which seemed to me to come out of the blue.

It's the Fountainhead... he pulls it out of his pocket and says something snarky about "selfishness". (Not sure how that fit in his back pocket..but in the movie it did.)

I did a goole search and it said The Fountainhead. My wife loves Dirty Dancing and said she remembered it. I am not watching it to find out. :)

I just finished watching it. I enjoyed it, but Gary Cooper really doesn't fit my image of Roark.
