Prosecutors will be guided by feelings about how someone else's feelings have been damaged as there will be no objective standards. Among other things, this is the end of stand-up comedy in Michigan (soon to be the entire USA?). How can anyone say or write anything without "hurting someone's feelings"?

Divide and conquer have been a dictator's tactic and a military one for centuries. If you can bully people into silence by fear of punishment, you decrease the probability they will be able to organize a coherent resistance to your tyranny.
