Yeah, I was going to mention the same (Target/WM) but so many people have a visceral reaction to Walmart I usually avoid saying it :-)

When I used to shop there I noticed Target sold a lot of the same stuff as Walmart except for higher prices. I think the last time I shopped at Target was about 5 years ago when they were selling a case of Guinness Stout for 5 bucks less than Walmart. Never saw that since.

You are NOT a Grinch! You are an American making a choice. My experience with the veterans is they are not in your face like so many others, at least the ones I know. If there was a constant gauntlet of in-your-face solicitors I would sympathize with you entirely, like being asked to donate your change at every fricken checkout counter - I now always say no because you never know where the money is really going.

Where I'm from none of these people are in your face squeezing for money: girl scouts selling cookies once a year, local high school kids selling something for the team or a school trip not covered by taxes (as it should be) usually once or twice a year, veterans twice a year (Memorial Day and Veterans Day). None of these people are spitting on your windshield and then demanding bucks to clean it. You are free to keep walking.

I am cutting back on all spending that I don't absolutely need. And I don't DO donations for any woke cause at all. I tell them to go get the money from Biden, as he has already taken a LOT of mine

eactly. there are people soliciting donations at the local neighborhood market. when they approach me with things like- do you want to donate money for needy children. I say absolutely not. They ask- don't you care about needy children, I say absolutely not in the least. They asked, I answered.

Never liked Target. Not sure why but I never could find anything I wanted there, so I don't shop there either.

Wouldn't it be great if there was a way to boycott a place, and have a way to double down on it?

I can't tell you how devastating this was for me.
I said that if I ever decided to make my peace with God, I'd go back to my mother's church, the Salvation Army.
Only to read a couple years ago that they've stopped worshiping God, and now worship Marx.

My cousin Rosemary, a newly-ordained Be in Christ pastor, told me that her Salvation Army friends have been having a lot of trouble with the higher-ups lately. They're tearing their hair out.
I'm not surprised. This CRT and BLM stuff started at the top, and they're probably trying to force-filter it down to the individual churches.
I sense either a schism or a mass exodus in the future.

Old dino can't recall ever being in a Target store.
When I heard about their transgender any sex will do restroom policy a few years back, I made a mental note to never give them any business ever.
Not surprised they'd now libtarded group think enslave themselves by fully putting on the Yoke Of The Woke.

Well if you're a Grinch, so am I.
If I'm out shopping, I don't want to be accosted as I'm going in and out of a store.
    I hate that.

    Ew.
I stopped shopping at Target long ago.
And I was confirmed in my decision when they started that open-door policy in bathrooms and changing rooms a few years ago.
Target seems to be catering to perverts.

Sounds like the woke movement is in the midst of a collective "jump the shark" moment.

Setting myself up...I do not want ANYONE from ANY organization trying to sell me something or get any kind of donation when I'm going into or coming out of any store. If I want to donate money to any specific cause, I know how to do that. I can go online and make a donation. I can find a local chapter or whatever and donate time.

Am I a Grinch? Yeah, according to my wife. But I just want to be left the hell alone when I go into or come out of a store.

Same with the Salvation Army. When they peddled that CRT Bullshit 2 years ago I decided they’d never get literally another dime from me. A lot of others around me felt the same way. Lots of unattended red buckets last season. Lack of bell ringers. They can go fornicate themselves.

As with Bud Light....I don’t shop at Target stores either. Never did. If I could not shop there harder I would.
Miller Lite appears to be suspect now as well. Despite their back pedaling recently.

I've avoided Target for years so this makes no difference to me. When Target, at least the ones near me, stopped veterans from handing out poppies for donations I walked away. Note: they may have rescinded that from the negative publicity (I'm not sure), but I still don't go back.
