Maher, in discussion about blacks killing blacks, disputes assertion that giving blacks more money will reduce crime/kill rate among blacks

We are witnessing the accelerating collapse of a welfare state created especially for "underprivileged" blacks and other minorities that was supposed to "lift" them into "equality" w other independent and "middle class" citizens. The result has, to date, been crime, drug infested communities where 85% of black kids can't read at nation-wide literacy averages for appropriate age/grade levels. Dem associate prof who took part in discussion w Maher could only suggest more of the same. Is this not a do-loop tragedy?

    It is expected that a University of Washington professor would advocate more of the same destructive crap that has destroyed a once magnificent state. Destroy everything you touch, brainless morons and then try to find a safe haven anywhere in the country. There will be safe havens, but not for slime. Galt in place, and do it fast, before you light up too many radar screens.

    This is the age of hidden agendas. Nearly every one who speaks about what another person should think or do today has a hidden agenda. At this point, All politicians are this way, and should NOT be taken at face value at all.

    I am tired of working in order to give money to people who dont work. Just done with that. I just dont care anymore if certain people are disavantaged. That is their problem and its for THEM to solve. Feeding a hungry person doesnt incite them to learn how to feed themselves, PERIOD.

    Unions used to be very discriminatory in their infancy at least through the mid 20th century. The article I linked references an essay by Fredrick Douglas on the subject.

    Agree completely with welfare and affirmative action. I am not a union supporter in any way, but unsure the connection to this issue. Unions are basically for those that do not want to work to their full potential and want to coast on the "collective" but do not see how this contributed to the destruction of the black family. At least in a union environment some work needs to be done....

    We are supposed to STFU out of fear of being labeled racists. A high percentage of the inner city crime is in fact black on black and they can't see this. Dumb and dumber! Whenever Maher opens his mouth just more dumb $hit comes out.

    Regardless of what Bill Maher says, black people had HIGHER two parent homes than white people after WWII.
    Unions, welfare and affirmative action were the end of their mean economic climb. This has NOTHING to do with racism, except the racism of union membership, affirmative action and welfare.

    In 1960 only 22% of black families were single parent. Now it is >70%. This did not come from slavery or systemic racism.

    Maher is a self-serving "entertainer" and I use that word very loosely because he's
    just another insulting looter who feels that insulting one group is entertaining to others.
    Bottom line is, Maher has no principles whatsoever, and wants to endear himself to anyone who will listen.
    Once you are listening he applies his venom to corrupt and brainwash.
    He hates the average person and shows it by insulting everyone.
    He's as entertaining as terminal cancer.

    Kids are now getting injured and killed in mass rampages thru malls and Dem controlled city downtowns. This situation in Baltimore, where recent shooting sparked a stampede in the neighborhood of a new but now virtually abandoned mall, seems to have become the norm.
