I have Russian friends who come here a lot.
When they first arrive, as a couple. They split a large Burger King Meal. Don't finish the fries or the drink.

After 2 weeks, they are each ordering their own Whopper w/cheese meal (small), and finishing it.

They are convinced there is something in our food that is fattening them, and making them hungrier than usual.

They also gain weight while here, and lose it almost immediately when they return home.
