Lawyers running our country was cauterized in 1947: Harry Truman Wanted a direct pipeline of intelligence from the military to his desk. He asks five Wall Street Lawyers (including the two infamous Dulles brothers) and creates the CIA from the OSS (Office of Strategic Services) The first weaponization of the Federal government against their own people began with the integration into the cia, Office of Policy Coordination (OPC) 1949 as the covert part of a covert group that is both extra constitution and never used for it's intended purposes.
No sooner than did Truman create Frankenstein, he regretted it and said so publicly, as they (the agency) went instantly off the leash and started overthrowing governments, even if it meant taking out their duly elected, chosen leaders. Via so-called green revolution. Most troubling in the early days was the overthrow of the Iranian President Mossadegh in 1955.
By the time Eisenhower came and left the reins to Kennedy, he was so convinced the agency had gone rouge, he met with Kennedy to warn him of this threat then made a televised declaration to this end. He (Allied Commander WWII) was actually threatened by the agency to retract his words. He basically gave them the finger and told them "I'm old, What could you possibly to do me?"
The agency was created to supply intelligence to the president. Period. Instead, from day one, they took it upon themselves to protect wall street and it's investors from all adversaries, at any and all costs.
Given this savage history, it is little wonder most nations live in fear of this country. Not of her military (though quite formidable in and of itself) but from the dirty cut-throat men in black that foment revolution anywhere and everywhere they see fit, without consulting the president or congress. If revolution doesn't work, they have bottomless bag of dirty tricks up to and including assassination. Ask Jack.

We should have had Barry as President. At least he wouldn't have gotten us wrapped up in Vietnam in order to get himself rich selling oil and helicopters.

yes, the founders were well versed in "law", but we also need to remember (or realize, as applicable) that what constituted Law then is not the same as today. We should be so lucky for today's "law" to be what it was then. While it, naturally had some issues it was also more palatable and simple. It could be understood by the common man.

A complex legal system is not indicative of a complex problem, it is indicative of people trying to get away with things by use of government force they know they can't do when laws and the law are simple and understandable by the public at large.

I would suggest that it is the prevalence in the mindset whereby people insist on written contracts to enforce every specific agreement between people which results in the prevalence of lawyers. The "spirit" of the law present in an agreement has been so marginalized that the "letter" is now the only thing which matters. There are no "handshake" agreements based on mutual trust and personal integrity. Instead, we automatically suspect everyone's personal integrity and eschew trust in others. It's really a sad state of affairs. (Looking at you, CostCo and Wal-Mart with your door monitors...)

Agreed, Radio_Randy, but the problem is most of the public only watches what it is shown and regarding Trump it was constantly shown "Russia! Russia! Russia!" and "Impeach! Impeach! Impeach!" and "I Hate Trump for any reason we can make up!". With any luck the public is waking up.

Yes, but it's taken out of context. Dick the Butcher in that play is but a member of a gang of commies. "Free food for everyone!" says Jack Cade, who would be king.

Politicians are not supposed to "run the country" in the first place.

They are only supposed to run the government. And to protect our rights.

Well this is true. But it truly takes a professional liar to get the masses to believe them.

Businessman can't lie this well AND be successful.

Also, Businessmen make money, and we need them.

Finally, I truly believe our forefathers WANTED Congress to Disagree so much that they were CRIPPLED from passing any laws.

It took the Deep State, Deep Pockets, Banking, and loads of money to Unite them as enemies of the people, in order to become what they are!

    Conflicts of interest:
    1) Lawyers holding any public office
    2) Lawyers becoming judges
    3) Lawyers selecting jurors
    4) Lawyers being jurors

The real problem is that we have been educating lawyers to not be good business people. Most of the Founding Fathers had a background in law.

The Federal Communications Commission used to be comprised of radio engineers. They were all replaced with lawyers who believe problems can be solved with laws, rather than science.

We've been trying to do this, for years.

First, with Ross Perot, then Herman Cain, and finally, Donald Trump.

While Trump had none of the personality qualities of those first two, he did succeed in showing what a businessman could do for the country.

With any luck...the public was watching.

Not enough Diversity Equity and Inclusion in Congress. Load it up and then Congress will be paralyzed and it will be really entertaining!

Go to VASHIVA.COM/Orientation to join the global bottoms-up movement for the working class. He is teaching the System of politics. Get educated, or be enslaved. 95 countries are following Dr. SHIVA. Not so sure about the supposition that lawyers don't have a business mind. They have a government backed monopoly on their "product", are good at bumping up billable hours, and are good at bumping up the cost of each of those hours. Plumbers and electricians, for example, only wish they could do that as efficiently.
