It would seem to me the thieves are just going along with the Neo Communist (Democrat) Marxist philosophy of share the wealth by spreading it around. My guess, and I could be wrong, the Apple company and store management and employees (and the thieves, of course) mainly voted for the commie party so all are happily getting what they voted for. Then the police they are defunding only have enough manpower to take a few notes, shrug, and walk away.

Apple does a better job ripping off people than the thieves do.
I'm surprised they didn't take some espresso machines, too. That store sells some for about $5,000, iirc.
