My observations based on limited experience - several visits of several weeks.
It is a pleasant place to visit and the cost of living is reasonable.
Medical/dental care is (supposed to be) good and inexpensive.
Thailand was near totally closed by government edict during plandemic.
Thai language isn't useful anywhere else.
Locals really don't accept farangs although on the surface farangs are pretty well treated.
Thai military has tossed out corrupt governments several times in the past 50 years.
Never insult the Thai royal family.
