Eudaimonia's Challenge
To date, I have seen ASp3 six times.
Twice in Las Vegas, and four times yesterday in Fort Collins (I was trying to play Gulch Ambassador.
I even bought a ticket for the fifth show which I ended up not attending.
Today, my wife and son went to a showing in Fort Collins while I caught up with some work.
Tomorrow, the three of us (and maybe four of us if Ron promises not to fall asleep, he's 84) will be going again.
So that's eleven or twelve viewings and ten or eleven tickets before the close of Opening Weekend.
The Challenge: top me.

Receiving the soundtrack from Scott was also a wonderful unexpected surprise.

!!! Thanks for prompting me to think of doing that!
She had never heard of Atlas or Rand, so I had to juggle how to 'explain' the background to a blank slate.
In retrospect, I think AS3 CAN stand alone as an 'introduction to Atlas Shrugged' for newbies. The flashbacks and even the Ron Paul cameo can, I think, make the connection for a lot of folks today.
Amazon DOES ship to third-world States, don't they?

I loved seeing my name (Alan Falk) in the end titles! Woo-hoo!
It's not showing anywhere in Canada yet so I flew back to the US to watch it on opening weekend. Watched it another 5 times, so I'm up to 7 total including twice at the premiere. Now hoping it makes it up here soon.
Loved it every time. Laura and Kris have both played their parts to perfection, as have most of the other actors. The scene where Dagny sorts out the switching mess is one of the most amazing scenes I've ever watched on film and is exactly as I imagined it when reading the book!
There are a few continuity issues, and a few important scenes are a bit truncated and I hope we can convince the producers to smooth things over a bit in an alternate version for the DVD.
But other than those small annoyances ASP3 is very true to the book and quite powerful and is a great completion to the series. I'm so happy the 3 movies exist now. It's an incredible accomplishment and still hard for me to believe they've been made and made so well!
Good Premises!

I'm sure the majority of the college aged crowd in Fort Collins is sausage.
No one there seemed too enthusiastic about discussing the movie afterward with a stranger.
I blame that on myself.
Although it could also be that I was in Fort Collins: I know what it is to live in a Politically Correct Zone and to feel the need to censor what you say aloud in public.
However, cyberwizard & winterwind showed up with a friend and that was some very good conversation.
Zero theaters in Alabama where I live retired on a fixed income, according to the map. But in all the surrounding states? Yeah, of course . . .
Mean old dino me ain't crazy about driving to Atlanta and back.
I'll get around to seeing it. One of my brothers gave me AS2 for Christmas. That know-it-all still claims he gave me AS1 the previous Christmas but he didn't. I had rented both from Netflix before last Christmas anyhow..
