Well, that critic obviously is not a fan of objectivism.

Not even sure why this review was linked from this forum as a post with the supposed average intelligence of the forum. I guess folks are bored.

I agree - respond calmly, with reasoned arguments, OK? Not punching anybody in the face, right? damn.
OK, I'll tie half my brain cells behind my back and out-smart them.

Nice comment. Seems like some people are agreeing with you and posting comments. I wish I could have been at the premier, but I will see it soon.

I laughed when the reviewer mentioned Galt's lengthy speech in the film. Apparenty they have not read the book.

The guy is a tough reviewer - rarely giving out more than 2.5 stars:

I averaged parts 1 and 2 and subtracted 30 minutes and that comes out to a 74 minute movie. I hope he's not right about that. As to the movie "not having real characters" and "ends abruptly and anticlimatically", seems like thats a critique of the source material and not the movie. To the "gloss over a number of important plot developments" comments, I fear he's going to be right about that, which is why everyone's always said this needs to be a miniseries. I've needed to explain parts 1 and 2 to people while watching it - sections just don't make sense unless you've got prior knowledge from the book. Well, hopefully it causes people to dig into the book for more details.

I will admit that the first 2 parts of the Atlas Shrugged movie were rather slow and/or lacking in some of the essential information that the book is known for. However, get ready to have your socks knocked of with Part 3 of Atlas Shrugged and get the real essence that the book was meant to convey!!! :o)

Not a good start. Can't wait to see how it does at the box office.

I just left a comment. No matter how few people read it I think we need to respond to these.
