    Why not deflate the balloon with a missile with no warhead? Then is should sink slowly and safely.

      I don't know if that can be done (not being versed in that technology); still, it seems like a reasonable idea. A missile is something thrown; do you mean an arrow, a rock, or a bullet from a gun?=--Still, it might have certain types of chemicals or explosives inside it. But if it's over the ocean at the time, the impact on the population of the area could be minimized.----Also, I wouldn't much mind if somebody also assassinated Phewtin, while he was at it.

        The balloon itself is held aloft by Helium - a noble gas which is non-flammable. It is now 66,000 feet high. It would have to be brought down by a surface to air missile fired into the balloon without a warhead. It would need to miss the payload carried below the balloon.

    spy sats, china owns land in the US, they can go anywhere and setup spy stuff anyplace they want

    i do NOT want that thing shot down over the US
    wait till it is over the ocean

    for now, hit is with an EMP pulse

    it CANNOT carry any soy stuff worth our bother

    About time. I just read that it had been shot down. I don't see how it could have been brought down without ruining it, in order to take it apart and study it. I don't really think that could have been done. It may have been somewhat dangerous to people to shoot it down, but had it been suffered to stay up there, it could have (and
    soon) been a lot more dangerous to many more in the population.
