When tax rates exceed the sweet spot on the Laffer Curve, they also suck jobs out of the economy. The no-nothing Dems insist that government creates jobs. Well, yes, but at the cost of losing even more jobs in the private sector. Another factor causing more unemployment is government regulations. Can you imagine trying to open a steel plant in California? Or a nuclear power plant anywhere in the U.S.? If federal regulars don't stop you, state laws will. Never underestimate the ability of a bureaucrat to impede worthy projects out of a political agenda, personal agenda (such as creating more jobs for bureaucrat friends), or just plain incompetence.
