I come back from Myrtle Beach to find the Gulch discussing YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN and turn on the Oscars to see an unlicensed lawyer presenting the Best Picture award. Ugh. To being with "Everyone knows," as the global climateers love to say, that BLAZING SADDLES is Mel Brooks finest film. By the way, I refused to watch the FORMER lawyer announce the award and turned off the telly. Who won?

Ovomit is a puppet in the "Chucky" sense. It's all nonsense, but he pulls the strings of his horde of Demo-scat followers. He could make a speech consisting entirely of "wah wah blather blah" and his audience would smile and applaud, and leave feeling that the One has saved them once again from those red-state, Palinist, Limbaugh-loving devils. Rasmussen's poll today gave the Obamination a job approval rating of 54%. People who see the puppet-master for what he truly is are still in the minority. Gulchers, and others like us, have to stay resolute in our opposition to the Moocher-in-Chief and his ilk. The fate of our country depends upon it.

I'd rather watch the Miss America Pageant than the Oscars....and I'd rather stick a hot poker in my eye than watch the Miss America Pageant.

    OA,

Good insight. I have to say I literally laughted at the Charlie Brown part. So true, and yet so sad. My son is about to turn three, and I feel like BO is talking on his lever. Wait, I take that back...we have much more intellegent conversations in our house already.

    Greetings eskslo,

I agree with what you have written ,but I would make one point regarding his talking down to people. I believe you may be overestimating the mentality of many of the low information voters. He is speaking on their level. Explanation would be the like sound of Charlie Brown's parents to them...
    Regards,
    O.A.

Socialist is right. Ask them how much is enough in terms of taxes or giving. One answer: more. Redistribution of wealth?

The scariest thing to me is that in AS you see rand at least showing the the public does not necessarily agree, but they still move forward as followers. What scares me about BO is not only do his followers not question it, they love it and run with his ideas as their own.

I would say BO is deceitful at best. I honestly don't understand how he manages to fool anyone. He is so transparent to me. I do not believe he is either clever or intelligent, but unfortunately he seems to be more clever than his followers, as they obviously will blindly follow any agenda he has.

A quick comment about his public speaking. I have heard it said many times that he is a great public speaker. What? Compared to who? I don't consider myself the best speaker ever, but I could run circles around BO without prepping or trying for that matter (as logic doesn't need preparation to win). It is simply shocking to me how he attempts to pull the wool over our eyes. I have always felt him to be transparent in his goals and he openly talks down to his audience. He acts like a superior, who needs to talk down to people who are not as smart so they can follow. Only problem is nothing he says is complicated, it just needs explanation I supposed, because it lacks two things: logic and reason. Oh well, who needs those in politics when you have emotion and love right?

I would love to hear some comments on this from the gulch!

Lucky, I find your comment interesting. How clever is it to have all major media and all of Hollywood see you as the poster president and first lady of progressivism?
Barack Obama is nothing more than a puppet. If you feel "the team" is clever in publicity and campaigning, how clever is it to basically tell all your cheerleaders to cover only this or that from the WH? How clever is it to blatantly abuse your power and make edicts from the WH or the EPA, for that matter, and completely ignore due process?
What IS clever is the patient, sleeper campaign of public education through college to churn out non-thinkers who question nothing but who will win "Dancing With the Stars" for the next four seasons and forget it is a presidential election year until 10 days before they vote. Those people are brilliant, but they did this before Obama was born.
BO is not a master of of publicity and campaigning; he is the pied piper of sheeple and he consults a playbook that works VERY well if you have raised people from head start on, not to think for themselves.

I don't watch any awards shows. I prefer real people as opposed to the plastic fantastic. Am I surprised that she showed up? No. I'm just surprised that she didn't show up in person. She could have wasted several hundred thousand more of tax payer dollars if she had.

Blazing Saddles is the best comedy ever.

No, we really don't. We unfortunately are hyper aware of the massive army of spin doctors employed by this socialist administration and its cronies. It's the reason why so many people keep silent. The onslaught of a smear campaign is ever hanging over the heads of those who would choose to speak up. It's revolting!

I have no idea. I hate listening to the "I, me, I , me, my brilliance", crowd. I like a good movie, and appreciate great acting, but when it's nothing be talking heads, blah! And I LOVE 'Blazing Saddles'! The sheriff is a N

Members of this forum seriously under-estimate the BO team.
    They are clever and competent,
not in government and economics, but in publicity and campaigning.
