We will loose some of our atmosphere during the micro nova but only on the sun facing side, it will quickly balance out leaving the surface in an instant freeze; but will thaw out with a few days to a month.
Question for extra points: Mars somehow lost it's magnetosphere, when it did, it's atmosphere blew out into space, if there was life on Mars it left or perished. What are the chances the same couldn't happen here? (except for the fact we can't leave to find another home planet)
