Fact check: Dozens of food sovereignty groups sign open letter condemning Bill Gates for imposing technologies that are worsening world hunger

In response to his new claim that “technology” is the solution to world hunger and food sovereignty, billionaire eugenicist Bill Gates was sent an open letter signed by 50 organizations dedicated to food sovereignty and food justice issues telling him he is dead wrong.

The letter addresses numerous statements Gates has made to the likes of The New York Times and The Associated Press (AP) in recent months about how nature itself is not enough to keep the world fed – only he and his minions can make that happen.

“In both articles, you make a number of claims that are inaccurate and need to be challenged,” the letter, addressed directly to Gates, reads. (Related: Bill Gates owns a patent on the Wuhan coronavirus [Covid-19].)

“Both pieces admit that the world currently produces enough food to adequately feed all the earth’s inhabitants, yet you continue to fundamentally misdiagnose the problem as relating to low productivity; we do not need to increase production as much as to assure more equitable access to food.”

The signatories, which include the Community Alliance for Global Justice, AGRA Watch, and the Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa, also criticized Gates’ claim that somehow the world is “under-invested in agricultural innovation,” and that the so-called “Green Revolution” is “one of the greatest things that ever happened.”

“There are already many tangible, ongoing proposals and projects that work to boost productivity and food security – from biofertilizer and biopesticide manufacturing facilities, to agroecological farmer training programs, to experimentation with new water and soil management techniques, low-input farming systems, and pest-deterring plant species,” the letter further reads.

Bill Gates is about depopulation, not feeding the world

I have met a few pompous blowhards who think they know it all like Gates in my lifetime. You gotta kiss a few frogs to find a prince. If I could buy him for what he is worth and sell him for what he thinks he is worth, i'd have more money than he has. N

Read some statistics some time ago that blows a hole the size of the moon in his nonsense, Few if any are starving...most of the world is TOO FAT, I say but the point is...99.9% are NOT starving.

The starvation in the world is real. It is from falling below the worlds poverty line.
Those folks below the poverty line starve to death at about a 10% rate.
Time will show more humans died from the Covid lockdown/economic freeze of starvation than the Chyna flu ever caused.
This year with skyrocketing food , energy costs and manufacture product shortages , will be devastating to some.
This poverty in many cases is genocidal. I just heard the Italian PM Giorgia Meloni rip France a new asshole for their colonial theft of production(50%) from Niger and 13 other African countries.

Was not considering present times...it's been an argument for centuries (here and there?, sure, but not world wide--so easy to fix if they wanted to)...Now? Yes, I expect there will be...why?...that's their plan, Stan.

Notice, there is a Lot of Pain involved in their plan, it's certainly NOT Altruistic ( we knew that)...it's down right Goolish. I can see them gathered at one's family room watching the big screen and cheering as each one of us, spiral out of control and fall to our death in agony...was that a 10, Boys?

If Mr.Gates thinks we may not have enough food to feed everyone, why are the Democrats now wanting to give free everything to illegal immigrants who will have babies because they think Americans are not reproducing enough to maintain equality and balance of the races? It's got to be one thing or another! N

This is what is called the Hegelian Dialectic.
Create a problem so you can fix it the way you want it to be.

Yeah but out and out lying and deceit during times like these are dangerous. It depresses people and increases crime. I'd like to debate him. He'd be crying before I got through with him. If our President wasn't such a damn fool, this stuff wouldn't be happening.

Just look at the Border of Texas. Desperate people crossing the Rio Grande River risking their lives and breaking our laws. We are being invaded by people bringing drugs in and they are so desparate they'd probably do anything to get here. Little do they know what they are going to find when they do.

Yes ,Lying and deceit are dangerous when pushed by govt officials. Example from Over 100 years ago.
I you allow a Federal reserve to control our currency, banks and Tax agency. We will make sure no banks fail. Well with in less than 2 decades, every bank in the country failed.
You see the Hegelian dialectic here was in full play.
The money power people engineered booms and busts in commodities for several years. This problem created by them and unregulated speculation was causing real issues for industry.
Think of a clothing manufacturer trying to source cotton at 3-4 times what it was the year before.
The manufacturer bites the bullet and buys. Then the bottom falls out and cotton prices collapse.
This destroys the business. Next the solution is to give the shitheads who manipulated the markets
Total control. How has that worked out for US?
