Thumbs up to you blarman and God bless your family. My thoughts remain fairly mixed. Medically, we never had the option to have children so I honestly don't have a horse in this race. Two things I do see with those today making these decisions are first and foremost selfishness, they don't want to give up their lifestyles too much for raising a family. Secondly, and one I share the concern for are the facts that our world is changing and more often than not our children are being taught or NOT taught the right principals or history of exactly who and what being an American is. In my interactions with the younger generations I keep having to wonder where the heck did they attain their knowledge or the lack thereof.

I worked full time (40 hrs/wk) while going to school full time (15 creds/semester + summers). Had three kids by the time I completed my undergrad and five by the time I finished my MBA.

People who say they "can't afford" to have kids just have different priorities than having kids. That's their choice. I'm far more concerned about the people who want to tell me how I have to raise my kids!

It is simply amazing to me that many of those who identify as "black" Americans (rather than simply Americans) are literally enslaved on the Democratic plantations called big city slums. It isn't coincidental that 95%+ of Planned Parenthood locations are in big city suburbs among high populations of blacks: Margaret Sanger was a decidedly racist individual who was even personally congratulated by Adolph Hitler. It also shocks me that blacks continue to vote for these conditions and yet complain about racial persecution. I just dumbfounds me.

Here is a solution. Allow men to marry men. Allow women to marry women. Allow arbitrary abortion on demand.......and....in just 3 generations there will be no more Democrats. Just sayin'

I worked with a buddy "rtpetrovick" up here in NY who moved to Fl many years back. Not you but I have to agree, if you don't care to get drunk or pregnant then you take the precautions and play accordingly. My comments go more to the shape of our world today.

I heard a statistic that well over 33% of women over 30 have ZERO children... And like 80% of their eggs are gone.
Of course, once a species decides it's not sexually interested in reproducing...

The Democrats aren't worried about the 20 million abortions of black children because at the current immigration rate of illegal aliens, they can make that up in six or seven years.
The last estimate I heard was that there are over 30 million illegal aliens living in the United States.

Meanwhile, every living person in the world could be placed 3 feet apart in all directions, in the state of TEXAS. How does this make sense?

If they don't want to have children....then don't have children.....but don't get pregnant through carelessness and then sin against the sanctity of life by murdering an unborn human being.

The couples I know who are of childbearing age all say the same things. They can't afford to raise a family larger than 2 children or, they have serious concerns over how things are going in this country and the world. Two of the couples have already decided against ever having children for the same reasons. Both each have career jobs and have no desire to start a family. I did ask about student loan debts and only one gal has a very small one that is close to paid off and all said they would not take any free crap.

Yes, us older folks were brought up with enough respect we didn't correct mom when she spoke. Dad made sure of that! LOL!

The boob tube has for a year been showing a strongly over represented number of minorities in commercials , TV shows , basketball and football games(sarcasm) then the population is.
