Ban Supplements

Proposed legislation is calling for a federal database for dietary supplements, which requires supplement makers to submit information to the FDA
Known as mandatory product listing (MPL) for dietary supplements, supporters claim it’s a way for the FDA to know what products are on the market and what ingredients they include
Opponents suggest the move, which is redundant and burdensome for small supplement companies, could ultimately give the FDA more power to ban supplements from the market
MPL could pave the way for the FDA to gain premarket approval power — changing access to supplements as we know it
Multinational companies like Bayer, Nestle, Unilever, Proctor & Gamble and Clorox have also been buying up supplement companies at a frenzied pace. In 2018, there were 83 such transactions; this rose to 137 in 2021

Considering how poorly the FDA handled the "vaccine", dietary supplements should be the last thing they're allowed to have their fingers in.

They simply don't like that you can research things on your own and decide which supplements you need. For YEARS they were droning on and on about how Vitamin D3 didn't work. Rather than admit now that they were wrong (low D3 was directly tied to COVID susceptibility) they'd like to take away your ability to use it and other supplements. That's why they want to just get a little information on it now and have this registry. Might as well ask you to report when you and your spouse make love too, while they're at it...

I see a whole new gubmint bureaucracy in the making that will harass and levy extra charges on the supplement industry to support and grow itself. Every place that sells vitamins and protein powder will need a government employee on staff to make sure the regulations are being adhered to. Before you know it you'll be paying $30 for a $5 bottle of vitamins - and have to fill out a form demanding a ton of personal information to get it.

I have no use for the FDA. The days of "sake oil" meds are over. Product liability has taken care of it. Seems to me it should be mandatory to have sunset provisions for governmental agencies.

The link doesn't take me to a "ban supplements" article, but it does take me to "Is Immunity Debt Real, or Should You Keep Kids in a Bubble?", which is also an excellent read!

Does anyone have any data that shows supplements are dangerous and a “threat to our democracy” more than the Big Pharma products that the FDA approved but now we see all kinds of lawyer commercials regarding injury?
