Are You A Person or Are You Just A Package of Hamburger?

Excerpt:
"Something strange happened yesterday. At least, it was strange to me. Worrisome, to me. Perhaps worrisome to you as well.

The UPS guy showed up at my house to drop off a package. Nothing strange about that. In fact, very familiar as I’ve had probably hundreds of packages dropped off by the UPS guy at my place over the years. Usually, the UPS guy just leaves whatever it is by the door – which by the way is perfectly safe since my place is well off the road and there are no neighbors or anyone else nearby to see the left package and possibly steal it.

Sometimes, the UPS guy knocks on the door for a signature, to establish chain of custody; that I did, in fact receive the package. Nothing strange there, either.

But yesterday, the UPS guy wanted to scan my driver’s license before leaving the package he’d come to deliver. Not just see it.

I found that very strange. I found it more than that.

Here I was, standing at the door of my house, where I live and where it is recorded I live."

Consider if you will, my dear. Thinking is the hard part. First put mind in gear. These people you are dealing with don't understand. Don't we even have a man heading up this country who has no cognitive skills?

"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." - Revelation 13:16-17

I would have asked the guy if there was a bomb inside or something, but told him to take the package back. The only people I let see my driver's license are police officers who pull me over and the booth at Voter Registration (like last week).

And the dems think that showing ID keeps people from voting? Apparently it would keep someone from receiving their ups package but they could still vote in a federal election. Strange.

If in fact it was UPS that told the driver to scan the DL, and not just some plan on the part of the driver to sell your data to a marketing company, I wonder if a refusal to let the document be scanned would really result in the package not being delivered.

I get DHL packages routinely, and all I have to do if I dont want to sign for the package, is reply to a text message- no DL, no scans, just a simple text message check box.

I will find out if asked to scan. I'll let it be refused and re-order and not answer the door next time.

if ups is worried about random people taking possession of packages, why isnt there a number that is issued by the seller when you place and order, and it follows onto teh UPS paperwork and you need to know the number before you get the package.

So in the end, did you let him scan your driver's license?

      From the article:
"Never mind. It’s “policy.” It’s the “rules.”

Well, not for me it isn’t. You can keep your package and I will keep my “data” – as well as my dignity – by not playing along with my own conversion into a scannable commodity, like a pack of hamburger at the supermarket."

Are they tracking those that are buying hamburger? Would they require a scanned ID if it were a package of Mormon Cricket protein?

In this Age of Cognitive Dissonance and NewsSpeak, everything is plausibly deniable. Or deniably plausible.

Would "he" have left the package if you had been a democrat that just couldn't get around to obtaining a legal photo ID? Or if you had been an "illegal" without "paperwork"?
